The thing is, technology is science based, not cultural based, some Westerners have long been considering themselves a higher position towards to others, simply because they had the black powder from the East and made firearm, then used it to conquer, expanded the wealth and needs, eventually promoted the technologies and productivity, and started to think they were superior to the rest of the world and white supremacy is real. Same goes to the Americans, thinking "if I block you, you would be dead in no time." The fact is, technology is all about money and manpower/talents, as long as you have both, then all you need is time.

Sadly, as a former Huawei user from 2015 to 2024 (Just ordered the HONOR Magic 6 Pro) I am done with Huawei since it's phones are usable only in China....... I got two phones without GMS and it's getting harder and harder to find by passes..... thank you HUAWEI but it's time for something new.

US by banning sales of high end chips etc to China is in fact guaranteeing that the Chinese will catch up faster ....
The reason is simple .....
as China is such a huge market the US chip companies then lose massive sales revenue - which means less funds available for future R&D ....
meanwhile Chinese chip companies will get a huge boost in sales revenue .... and will have mountains of funds .... for their own R&D
