India has joined the Artificial Intelligence race. It wants to be an AI Superpower by 2030 and wants to build the technology in an inclusive way.
For the South Asian nation, AI has the potential to change the lives of its 1.4 billion people – from increasing agricultural, to predicting and managing disasters, to providing access to services in far-flung regions. But high costs, lack of funding and fear of job losses could stand in the way of India’s AI dreams. It also lacks a notable foundational model to call its own, the likes of GPT-4 or Deepseek.
With the US and China far ahead in the AI race, can India play catch up?

Alot of talented engineers in india the only problem is not enough fundings to progress
@srajalpatel1405
I don't understand why people are complaining Yes we face many problems and poor infrastructure but it does not mean our youth don't invest in future technology and AI those people only complain they don't do anything itself they are double standards if they show what ever news they only spreading negative about india their countries are perfect problem doesn't exist in their respective countries

Chinese and Pakistani bots crying in comment section.
Let me tell you - Most world see India through biased social media and western media channels but most people including Indians clueless about India's rapid growth. There are issues but we are going much faster than before. Modi era india is unstoppable.
@WanderwithRaj25
Chinese boats are crying in comments. India is talking about his development so why Chinese started to feel offended? Everyone know about indian talent in computer science

We start our journey only 75 years ago as a indipendent nation fought several war , terrorism , and every country want to stop us but despite all challenges we are JOINING the Club defeat our colonisers in GDP, Military and even Technologically We are working hard not to become a super Power but to REGAIN OUR GLORY AGAIN

Forget the robots, India has the best doctors in the world and people go there for affordable cancer and heart surgeries. Take all that data and make the best medical AI in the world.
@sidharthshekar5046
China was undermined as a rice farming country just a couple of decades back, so all these people here can talk shit because you are not seeing it physically, but it's ok all India has to do is laugh it out and just silently achieve it. Even for a 100 years I don't expect the trolls to back down.
@arreshubham
Every other Ai startup runs on APIs from big companies, there should be dedicated R&D center and data centre infrastructure. There is long way to go for India
@Bonnie_Anderson
India has world class CEOs and engineers working from Google to Microsoft to many many more. India just doesn't have Google and Microsoft and many many more that's all

If you have neither useful nor constructive comment, just close this video and watch something else instead of slinging mud here which only reflects your upbringing

Best Indian brains are leaving India for better career opportunities.& they're using Indian talent to remain tech leaders.
Unless the govt seriously listens to their aspirations/demands & facilitate accordingly, its hard to prevent them.
@ze9947
Every PowerPoint presentation in India is about the future, with its endless possibilities. It's just that the internet has a long memory. At the beginning of the year, everyone in India was saying that within six months, India would have its own DeepSeek. When will that happen?
@hindeshrai8787
Nobody ever said that. What was said was that Deepseek is a good example that you can build good LLMs at low cost.
@artus198
I don't understand why the Chinese bots have to be so jealous of India ..ignore the Chinese - not just India , I would like Africa and other places to build AI to solve human problems as well , not to dominate, but solve problems
@banish1085
What AI?! In my city there are multiple power cuts daily. The banks keep calling even senior citizens with 100 different proof of id. Most jobs are as delivery boys or uber bike riders .
@TrimpCox
India remains significantly behind in robotics and artificial intelligence when compared to the United States’ advanced computing capabilities and China’s accelerated AI development. While Indian professionals are often highly vocal, this is reflected more in their dominance in call centre operations for Western companies than in contributions to cutting-edge engineering. Complex computing tasks are rarely outsourced to India, as global firms remain sceptical of the country’s capacity to deliver on large-scale technical demands.
@halo7250
What captivated me was the thick layer of dust on the monitor at 02:00 and the exposed electrical wires on the robot’s body, masking tape, and servo motors at 02:16 in the footage.

India should focus more in Research and Development and develop its Tech industry and encourages more Tech start ups and mainly consumer manufacturing sectors
@tyrantfox7801
The top engineering graduates leaves the country after graduation.
I have no idea how that's going to work without retaining the talent.
2030 is barely 5 years away
@ratnakamal1
Every commentator is seen saying that Bharat needs to build a desi foundational model, but it is very expensive. Look at the ISRO that had launched the Mars Mission at a fraction of the NASA cost. It may sound trivial, but where there is a will, there will be a way.
@creatorAI1698
Sisnity also featured in this report . I joined his 2 days Webinar & shocked to see so many people from Pakistan,Sri Lanka, Bangladesh Nepal & some African countries were there.
The only thing we are good at is leveraging technology created by others.
Our talents leaving india not only due to lack of opportunity but due to toxic environment created by current ruling party.
Recently meta hired indian guys from 800mn in ai program. They will now build ai for US.
All these cutting edge works happen in southern states only ,despite forcing them to setup in north & Hindi belt .
@giteshs999
One major problem in India is bright people want to go abroad (mainly USA). So Trump visa blockage may be a blessing indirectly

When someone comes to spew bullshit about AI in your ear, remember: Rome didn't need electricity, microchips, computers, internet, satellites, GPS, Facebook, Google, Apple, Twitter, Microsoft, Amazon, data centers, AIs, and AI-powered weaponry to build a vast empire that lasted a thousand years.
@shineadmissions8437
Once Indian AI stacks addresses the problems of farmers & mass AI adaplity by common people for their benefits & then hardly any country can stop AI success in India.
@redmigeeold1417
AI as a tool to uplift the population through economic development. That's quite the opposite to popular narrative that AI will take away jobs and make human labor obsolete.
@klasgroup
As usual China is way ahead in the next big things AI and Robotics. India has the talent software companies to catch up in AI. But it lacks the ecosystem for development of robotics. And also there are no significant players in the field of Robotics in India. The Indian government should seriously encourage companies to develop in this field. Large companies like L&T and Tatas also should take interest to develop indigenous technology or else we will be left much behind
@polyresoucesgp2754
India seems to have an unusual obsession with the term "superpower," but I wonder if it should first seriously consider ensuring its people have enough to eat, eliminating poverty, providing access to toilets, 24-hour electricity, and clean drinking water before aspiring to become a superpower.
@deepblue3682
Will AI helps to keep street food of india hygienic, invent sometools to provide sanitary food,living conditions,equality in life quality

Geo politics fallout possibilities show a direction where even basic digital innovation need is all aspects.. starting from os, email, auth to a full-fledged cloud stacks .. China saw this coming far too soon.. time for others to realize and invest
@ThePatrickykm
I don’t understand India. Why not focus on cleaning up the country’s unhygienic conditions, tackling corruption and cronyism, improving infrastructure, upgrading manufacturing, and addressing widespread illiteracy before trying to "fly"?
It seems like every week there's a grand announcement about what India hopes to achieve — all big talk, with little to no delivery. It's as if the country wants to build castles in the air, yet hasn’t even learned how to walk.
I'm not a China bot, simply an observer and learner from asia, and unfortunately, india has nothing to offer.
@nnagisetty
If the black money in India is brought into the economy, the GDP can be doubled. Promote black money investing in emerging technologies should be forgiven from prosecution. That may bring the money into the AI projects.
@biswajitgupta8570
Ai need data, india bless with 1.4 billion people of data. This gives india big edge. Today we are collecting data in structured way. But I we need investment. I can built but it's need investment I need atleast 1000 people group. And 2 to 3 years. I can build platform which gives structural data with Time stamp. And ect . I need investment to pay data centre and 100 of millions, what running in my mind if successfully create this will give ai startup one Stop solution . For ai company, including big financial sector, but india need it's own ai fund. I need investment but it's tough to asked INVESTER to invest in new Idea.
