China is incredibly beautiful, diverse, and fun with some of the nicest, most welcoming people on this planet. It's a shame, the Sinophobia, racism, and hate Americans and Europeans spread about China. Most don't know about this side. I was in Guilin about a decade ago and am glad to see it is still as charming as I remember it. This area easily rivals that of the Swiss Alps, but will never get the same attention all because it is in China...Not sure if you have been but definitely visit Zhangjiajie, Lushan, or Taishan if you get the chance. There are so many incredible places in China. I'm honestly jealous that you two get to do this for a living, haha! Anyways, safe travels and wish you both all the best!

If you are a foreign tourist wanting to travel to China, first and foremost, I would suggest avoiding Chinese holidays. As soon as the holidays come, all major scenic spots will be packed with crowds, and there is a high likelihood of encountering some unpleasant situations. No matter how friendly the Chinese people are, you will inevitably end up spending a large portion of your day waiting in lines. Additionally, you may face issues such as insufficient parking spaces, crowded restrooms, and increased prices. This is unavoidable, as no one wants to waste their precious vacation time

As of today, i Don't think there is any country which has as many varieties as China. Today, Chinese people have everything to enjoy their Life.
Some people are blind and have no Ideas to choose between what is good and what is bad. Sometimes they don't even realize the happiest thing in their life. Every person in the world thinks democracy is the only way through which any person can expect all the best things in their life.
I live in a democratic country. I know what a democratic country is like. We get nothing unless we fight.

Thank you Flora and Note for another epic adventure. I love how everywhere you go you have fun with each other and enjoy the people you encounter. That cable car is insane and the view is out of this world. Loved there skywalk and the drone pad for pictures. I can feel for Note cause heights aren’t my favorite either but Flora isn’t afraid of anything. Wish we could have 2 videos every week from you guys. We found it very peaceful, especially when you drive outside of the main town. But West Street, which is the main food and shopping street, is very busy at night and probably the most commercialized part of Yangshuo.

Lovely Ruyi mountain in Yangshuo to explore. There is bridge cross over one to another mountain. Also glass bridge also. Different part of the Guilin which we went some years ago to top of the mountain in Guilin with open cable car (only 2 people sitting)

Wonderful as always Flora and Note. I reached out to my Chinese friends to make sure we can all take this trip when I am traveling China later this year or early next year! Excited to see your travels in Yunnan. Next to Sichuan that is my favorite area of China. Safe travel. Note, I was never afraid of heights until after my kids were born and then I developed a very strange fear. I finally said stop and went sky diving! That cured me completely!

If Note is scared of turbulence in flight, then China is the best place for you to travel, because you can take high-speed trains all over the country except Tibet. You can take the train from xining to Lhasa. It would be an epic trip on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau.

Love China so much, but many of the worthy sites are a little too touristic. Still worth it but tamp your expectations. Yunnan and Shangri la is beautiful! xinjiang is a must!

I went to Guilin on Easter holiday this year, the view there is very beautiful, but it was a really unpleasant journey. We rented a car, and the cars there like to cut in line and do not drive orderly, especially when we finished watching a show at night and there were loads of cars in the parking lot. So that is why I do not want to go there a second time.

Usually, locals would get a cheaper price of local scenic spots. Because you know, for locals, scenic spots are just ordinary places in their hometown, and their ancestors lived here FOR FREE decades ago before here became scenic spots. So the local government would give them a cheaper price for tickets. And what's more, locals will sell tickets to tourists at a little higher price (but still lower than official price) to earn a little money, and the local government has acquiesced in this behavior, and it a way to promote the income of local people.(because you know a lots of scenic spots are in the mountains, so villages and towns here probably are underdeveloped, so that is a good way make locals getting a better life)
For example, tourists need to pay 10 yuan for crossing the LuDing bridge(which is a very famous historic scenic spot in Sichuan province, China), but if you are local people, it's free. Because locals may cross the bridge many times a day, this is a part of their daily life, so this is a matter of course.
That is why locals would ask you guys, and you don't need to think it's sketchy. Buy it in official price, gov gets more money; Buy it from locals, locals earn some money. Both are good for local.

通常情况下，本地人去当地的景区价格会便宜一些。因为你知道的，对于当地人来说，景区只是他们家乡的一个普通地方，他们的祖先几十年前就免费住在那里，后来那里才成为景区。所以，当地政府会给他们更便宜的门票价格。更有甚者，当地人会以稍高的价格（但仍低于官方价格）卖给游客门票以赚点小钱，而当地政府也默许了这种行为，这也是促进当地人收入的一种方式（因为你知道的很多景区都在山里，所以这里的村镇可能都不发达，这也是让当地人过上好日子的一个好办法）。
