China is simply conducting normal merchant transactions and friendly gestures with any country in the world that has no contradiction to China’s national interest, and is willing to exchange products and services in good faith. That’s all. China has no interest in obeying unreasonable demands from the west to ban Russia. We are simply doing trade and being friendly, as all countries should be to each others. There’s only one country in this whole wide world that qualifies China’s ally, and that’s North Korea. The bond between China and North Korea is built by blood. China is only situationally aligned with Russia because of western ideology towards China. Chinese government inherently distrusts Russia and understands believes that Russia sees China as an ally of convenience rather than ideological allies. That’s not to say China wishes to aligns ideologically with the west.
