China only has about that many large-scale shipyards making most of their warships, cargo containers, oil tankers, and other large ocean-going ships. Most shipyards here and there make much smaller vessels like ferries, tugboats, patrol ships, yachts, fishing boats, and so on.

A good unx sponsored training program that will attract high school graduates to develop a well trained workforce, and the ability of corporations to put some of their dividends and profits into a company to make things here needs to be emphasized. I’ve welded on many big projects, and with proper training to develop that skill and learning all the safety procedures, it can become a very rewarding job, as one put it, seeing your work completed and put to used can help with job satisfaction. Getting a college degree is not always the right fit for everyone. Feeling good about what you have helped to accomplish, can help with the mental attitude of one’s career, and also that of getting a honest pay for a good day of work.
