Leaving your family to go back to your own life can be difficult. I’m sure you miss them a lot by this time. I miss those days myself. Both of my parents have passed away. But then again, I am 81. That doesn’t stop me from missing them. I’m glad you were able to spend this time with your family.

I also live alone, far from home, in another country  Zaza. And I hate farewells. When I go back home for vacation or special occasions, it’s really hard for me to leave again and adapt back to solitude. It’s a painful process. Because of that, I don’t go more than once a year.

"A parent's love doesn't shout, it just stays ", yet another aspect of life that is the same the world over. I feel like I should be paying you for these small nuggets of wisdom you drop like rare gems. Hi Zaza, checking in from Chicago. Another aspect of life that is similar is the constant preparing of and eating of meals. Since the internet can take us all around the world and into many different cultures, I find the way people live day to day, there are more similarities than differences and that definitely applies to family dynamics.  I like how you include your family, they are after all a part of your life, without exploiting them.
