Why I moved to China

There are several main reasons why my family and I decided to move to China. First, we were eager for a change of scenery and new adventures. After five years of living in Qatar, we wanted to explore a different culture and landscape. Secondly, China's education system appealed to us; our children could learn in a more comprehensive curriculum and have the opportunity to study Mandarin Chinese. Furthermore, the cost of living in China is relatively low, especially when it comes to housing and food. We also place a high value on safety and found China's safe environment to be superior to that of many other countries. Overall, we moved to China to pursue a better quality of life and family experience.

Shame on you!

@chueng, In January, six world leaders go to Beijing: Korea, Ireland, Canada, Finland, UK, Uruguay. Just in one month. I think you must keep shouting: shame on you! More will go to Beijing after Chinese New Year, Keep on shouting.

In China, minors and females walk freely and casually at 3:30AM in the morning along the street alone without fear of safety. You don’t find this in most other countries. China is a safest country in this world.

This video is worth watching twice.I'm amazed that your husband has such foresight. You know, the Australian media mostly reports negative news about China, and politically, they're predominantly anti-China. So it's very rare to see someone so clear-headed. Chinese is relatively easy to learn; you can communicate fluently after just three months. However, mastering it is extremely difficult because of the many cultural elements involved, especially the tones, which can be confusing. Having your three children learn Chinese is the best decision you've made. Starting Chinese from a young age will bring them immense benefits.You can save money living in China, but you can't save money as a teacher in Japan or South Korea.The future of the world lies in China, and living in China is a blessing.You have shown and exposed a real things Infront of the entire world . Again appreciate you that you are showing the real face of the China.

China has 5 yrly plans! Theyve never missed a milestone! within those 5 yrs obviously everything is constantly marching to hit those goals! theyre on their 14th 5 yrly goal!!
China has 100% WIN rate... they were successful with BRI & Made In China 2025 initiatives, they took 800M+ people out of abject poverty! theyre opening up to the world unlike the West hence good vibes from China...

Im not sure how covid started.
But i think extending the quarantine more than the rest of the world was a good measure.
Still, i hope Chinese disease control take more notice on wet markets poachers and similar sources of diseases.
@peanut0brain
@sanhcman666 stop being WILLFULLY IGNORANT. COVID was created by professor RalphBaric of university of North Carolina as a bioweapon against China but backfired! Wet markets in China continues to operate with no issues! Wet markets operate everywhere in se asia! Wet markets are not wet! Propaganda
@antwango
@sanhcman666 wet markets have existed for decades if not centuries in Asia let alone China... sooo theres that possibility debunked for you
China has 1.5bln people and still the lowest covid deaths to barely any... China opened up from quarantine first... the West STILL suffering the effects of covid.. i.e. still returning to work!
bobsmith3983
@sanhcman666 It was created and leaked from in the US Army Fort Detrick bio weapons laboratory in Maryland USA. The authorities shut down the lab due to the leak. The virus was found in Italian sewage samples months before the wuhan outbreak.
@Dutchthink28nmisAdvanced
@sanhcman666 the dude they trotted out to tell us it was wet markets at the start of Covid
Was the world renowned British virologist Peter Daszak
Who was receiving money from the NIH and funding Gain of Function research at the BSL4 wuhan Biolab, the first of its kind and level in China at the time
Where Daszak was later part of a WHO investigative delegation
Who went to that Biolab... Where he had a direct 10 year plus relationship
That's because this Biolab wasn't some dark military research site the Mainstream Media told us it was
It was a site partially funded by the USA built by the French
Where sciebtist from the USA France, UK, and Canada
Trained the Chinese scientists working at this Biolab
Who reached out to America because they were understaffed and that led to safety protocol issues

China is the safest country in the world and people are nice to those with a different skin color.
@complikaty9740
Colorism is pretty common in China honestly.
@XDigimon
@complikaty9740 If you think China has racism, you probably haven't been to Europe
@complikaty9740
@XDigimon Though colorism and racism can overlap they're not the same. I'm not sure why Europe is being brought up here. The fact remains that I've seen plenty of black people talk about experiencing colorism in China (and Korea and Japan too).
It's weird how defensive people get when others point out the reality of living in an Asian country as a poc. We all know that historical classism played a large role in beauty standards there it's nothing new.
@XDigimon
@complikaty9740
I didn't say that in China there is no racism. I've been to many places, and I'm pretty sure in China there are less racists than the rest of the world. Yes, in China, they will look at you who have a different color, mostly because out of curiosity, not like many places in the West where they look at you and think you're a low class human being just because you're not white.
@yin_yang888
Thanks for sharing your life living in China. It is very interesting. The crime rate in China is low because there are many CCTV cameras recording your every move. It is alleged the Police can solve a crime within 24hrs.

That statement about "bcos of so many CCTVs" is so far from the truth that it would take light a year to get there. London has been No. 1 in cctv numbers since year 2000. Have you seen the crime statistics in London?

Welcome!This is such a great decision. Over the next few decades, China will keep raising its global status and strengthening its capabilities across the board — that’s a clear goal our government has set. Whether it’s the economy, tech, education, the environment, national defense, or cultural development, this is a country that’s always full of energy and moving forward. So I really hope you have an amazing and happy life here! and I sincerely hope more people from other countries can understand China and come to China to travel or live.❤

In America most ppl must own cars. Not so in China. That's about $1000 per month of after tax income right there. (Loan, insurance, fuel, repairs, regist/taxes, parking...)

Other than getting used to the incivility by the elderly, China is a great country to be in overall. That’s a minimal problem compared to the issues in Europe and North America though. The hawking and the spitting still traumatized me haha
@Mr11ESSE111
i think that you choose best country in terms of safety,development,tech,affordability in rent,groceries,bills,healthcare , EU countries are worse now then China and more expensive while less safer and for USA its third world country if you not a milionaire and above that or dont earn 40-50k$ monthly netto
@GZBenGor
It's because there are cameras everywhere in public places. Once, I got drunk at a nightclub and fell asleep in a roadside green belt at 4:00 AM. My phone fell onto the sidewalk a few meters away and was picked up by an elderly woman. The next day, when I woke up, I thought my phone had been stolen and called the police. After the police registered the case, they requested surveillance footage and found the elderly woman's phone number. They called her, and she returned my phone. The case was then 调解 and closed. Actually, I don't know why foreigners feel pressured by cameras in public places. If you're not doing anything wrong, why worry about cameras in public places? They're not installed in your home. Moreover, the law explicitly prohibits the installation of surveillance cameras in private spaces, such as private dining rooms in restaurants or VIP rooms in karaoke bars.
@Olsens-CN
I’ve been fascinated by China since I was a kid. I grew up watching a lot of Chinese content—movies especially—and I always loved the culture, the scenery, and even the Chinese mindset compared to Western content, even knowing that much of it was fictional.
As I got older, like most Westerners, I started paying more attention to what people say about China. But despite all the propaganda, it never really changed my interest or appreciation for what I kept learning about the country.
Later, I started finding online content from people like you who live in or travel to China, and that honestly made me like the country even more. To the point where China is definitely the country I want to visit one day, even if I know I probably won’t be able to live there the way you do.
That said, I really appreciate your honesty—both about your reasons for being there and about what you show from your own life and your family’s experiences in China.
The one thing I’m curious about is schooling. Since it’s an international school in China, how does the language barrier affect the kids? I know you mentioned they have Mandarin classes about six times a week, but I still wonder how that impacts their learning overall. Do you think they struggle because of the language, or are they adapting well? And how do the other kids react to them as new classmates—do they feel out of place, or are they welcomed?
@sanhcman666
When you are rich, of course you can have adventures.
Besides of that, i hope your family prosper in China.
I saw videos about China history, and some videos claim that Tang period was even more open than now.
A Korean General leading the Chinese expansion is wild.
Not to mention the birth of the east side of the silk route.
Questions:
Are there plans the kids finish high school there, or even take the Gaokao?
How Chinese people react about foreign youtubers, assuming they can access to youtube?
@Samewith47
I don't have any particular feelings. Any Chinese person who has gone to university and knows basic computer operations knows how to use a VPN to access the internet; it's very common. This barrier helps filter out people who lack the ability to discern information, preventing them from receiving false information from other countries and maintaining stability. Every time I see videos of foreigners misunderstanding China, I find their ignorance laughable. Ordinary people all over the world are manipulated by the media and public opinion, but many foreigners are completely unaware of this, taking what the media promotes as truth. I truly feel sorry for them.
@complikaty9740
Do your kids like traveling? Do you ever worry they're missing out on a consistent childhood? I would have loved getting to experience different cultures at a young age. I think it would have opened my eyes to how vast my possibilities truly are. I wish I'd been introduced to diversity so much earlier in my life.

@jillbuzzard4456
That must be a big change going from Qatar I have heard really good things about that country and would love to visit at some point! You were talking about safety in the US and while you're correct there are definitely places in the US that are very unsafe there are a lot to be fair that are safe I live in the Midwest near a small town and on an acreage and we don't lock our divorce we've never had a package stolen from our porch we have good neighbors, but I do think to be fair you might need to be a little bit afraid of the government there since during Covid they literally sealed people inside their apartments hopefully that won't happen to you prayers for your family to stay safe
@chybk007
It's ironic. The Chinese government quarantined its citizens to prevent the spread of the disease and protect the lives of its citizens. What does quarantine even mean? During the quarantine, people were safe at home and received proper food supplies. Your country, the United States, neglected its citizens, resulting in a death toll of one million, the highest in the world. Given the choice between a temporary quarantine to protect lives and complete abandonment, you choose complete abandonment. Do you think human life is insignificant in America? I understand, because you never know when you might be shot by the police.
