People here like to make a lot of assumptions, so here are some facts from someone who did a little basic research:
Feeding the Prey: In extremely harsh winters with deep snow, park rangers have been known to put out supplemental feed (corn, soybean meal) for the deer and wild boar. By ensuring the deer survive the winter, they ensure the mother tigress has something to hunt without needing to approach human settlements.

Clearing the Path: The "support" also involves "sweeps" where rangers remove wire snares left by poachers. A snare is the biggest threat to a wandering cub.

Digital Bodyguards: The park uses a massive "Sky-Earth" monitoring system. Tens of thousands of cameras transmit real-time data. If the tiger family moves near a village, rangers are alxed immediately. They don't move the tigers; they move the people (warning villagers to stay indoors or keep cattle inside), preventing the conflicts that usually get tigers killed.

Yes, corn will attract deer, and tigers eat deer.   It's a better system than trying to make "tiger chow."  We do not want to "domesticate" them.  That would seem to be the way to go.

The family have been spotted in Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park, which is one of China's first five national parks and covers over 14,000 square kilometres - that's around the same size as Northern Ireland!
It's very rare for Siberian tigers to give birth to five healthy cubs, so it's a big success story for the park, who say it's likely that mum had the cubs back in June.

The fact is that for mammals, twins, triplets, quadruplets, or quintuplets are never equal. Even before the birth, one or two fetus can grow bigger than others and become stronger in fighting for mama's milk after birth, which results in some appear bigger than the others.

 @LeChristEstRoi  no! Siberian tigers only produce litters every 2 years , they cannot be from 2 separate litters the size of/ age difference would be obvious and the first litter would be be run off by mother long ago.

I'm a wildlife biologist, and I can tell you that there are only 300 to 450 Siberian tigers in the wild. If we are unable to protect them, we are failing at every level. I only have this to say: "Nature unites; Homo sapiens divides." I adore nature. A good start for 2026. Protecting the environment is good for you.

I love the fact that when mama takes that small walk off the road into the brush she blends in so well you can’t really tell she’s there. Their fur markings are not only beautiful, they have a good purpose and that little walk off the road proves it…

That's WONDERFUL!  Such pretty kitties.  I stood next to the feeder at the San Diego Wild Animal Park when she threw a huge roast over the fence to the Siberian tiger there.  It was truly awesome watching the cat jump up 8 feet to snag the roast in his mouth.  Tigers can jump up to sixteen feet straight up and thirty feet horizontally at a run.  Love those cats!

ALL FIVE have survived to be this size??? It seems like a good sign that conservation efforts are going very well; between habitat errosion and males on the prowl, its nice when just 2 or 3 of a tiger litter survive to adulthood. To see all members of such a big litter thriving is just a blessing.

Despite the constant high alx of the deer, this tigress seems to be a super efficient hunter to feed her cubs. I read somewhere, that they are succesfull only in 1 out of 20 attacks.
