From Sydney Australia here, the guy who disarmed the shooter was unfortunately shot twice, once in the hand and the other in his shoulder by the gunman on the walkway bridge. There was an explosive device found in a car which didn't go off. Police have been conducting raids across the Sydney metro area yet at this point in time there has been no further upxes regarding these raids.

Hey guys I’m from Sydney I live 15mins from Bondi. I can hear sirens all night and our emergency departments at the hospitals are at capacity. This stuff just doesn’t everrrr happen here. We don’t have gun trouble here as guns are illegal and extremely hard to obtain. This is a complete shock to us. We have no idea how this happened. Nothing like this ever happens here.
