It takes at least 9 months to manufacture a single one, and another 18 years to upgrade it to basic operational capability. A very inefficient process. And the worst part is, it experiences fear, pain, regret, and has a free will of it’s own, thus making it inefficient, inaccurate, and unreliable, especially in the heat of battle. And yet, we have been using them for thousands of years and will continue to do so.
My point is, just because something can be targeted and destroyed on the battlefield, doesn’t mean that everybody must suddenly stop using it. In war, everything is an expendable tool to be used to achieve the tactical and strategic obxtives.

⁠ @5Fivestarr_Q I suggest you look at the data. Venezuela is not the largest supplier of oil to China as you explicitly stated. It is not even in the top 10 countries that supply oil to China. Just admit that the Yankees are stealing the oil because they need the cheap electricity to power their AI data centers. They also have a lot of heavy crude refineries in Texas that are going out of business and would benefit immensely from the heavy crude that Venezuela has in it’s possession.

But China doesn't want to destroy Taiwan. Just like Russia is doing with Ukraine. The goal is to demilitarize and have full autonomy. And as we've seen demilitarizing a territory armed to the teeth, and getting armed still can take time. Coastlines are very difficult to defend when they are extremely long as you can't know for sure exactly where the enemy choose to invade to concentrate your forces which means you have to disperse your forces evenly and China has the resources and manpower for multi-point invasion but not before first softening the Island with an intense campaign of attacks using stand-off weapons like cruise and ballistic missiles as well as drones and once the air defenses are neutralized gaining air superiority and continue with an intense shock and awe campaign wit air power.
By the time the actual invasion takes place there will be not much resistance left.
Don't make the mistake of comparing this to Ukraine, in Ukraine Russia is fighting against the combined western powers, all of NATO and the EU. Without that western support Ukraine would have lost in maximum 5-6 weeks.
In the case of Taiwan not every western country would be eager to directly support Taiwan and go against China and those that will do will have an extremely hard time getting hardware delivered to Taiwan. China will easily sink most of those transports using missiles as well as naval power. Particularly submarines as well as mining the waters .
