Before the Tejas flew, there was posts on social media about it leaking oil. Indian Air Force used shopping bags to collect the oil and cover up the ground stain. Godi media called this fake news but now there are investigations into whether an oil leak led to the crash. What a complete embarrassment and utter failure.

These things happen unfortunately. The engine in the Tejas is a quite reliable GE engine however like all military aircraft the avionics are high maintenance and very unforgiving when something wrong happens.
