I absolutely love this place from what I see. Im Filipino American and the happiness here remind  me of the Phillipines. They dont have much, dont need much but I'm sure the mental health is far better than it is in America.

What an amazing video! I immigrated from China to Canada with my parents when I was only 7, so I don’t know China very well. My parents are very anti CCP so their views have very much negatively shaped my perception of China. But videos like this make me want to rediscover the country from whence I come, but no longer recognize.

Classic video. I feel like most stuff about China on YouTube is either China bashing or travel shills. This walks the middle road perfectly. You spent time with real people and asked real questions. It reminded me of all the years I spent exploring small towns and cities like this while living in China, having fun encounters with all kinds of people and of course drinking lots of tea. Well done!

to me China is so fascinating because every shop and everyone seems to be the best at what they do, compared to other asian countries despine my lack of knowledge on statistics. it feels they live farely stress free despite the long and known hustle culture maybe they just know how to enjoy themselves what ever their economic situation is

I went to Shanghai for a couple of months and even people in a city bigger than New York people were friendly. China is awesome. Not as nice as those people though.

The Chinese people are a happy bunch of people. Ipsos had them as #1 happy people, of course CIA then made a visit to their hq and they did not include China this year so a western country is #1.

It's so important to remember that people are not their government. Governments are experts in creating fear of other cultures. What I, as well as you Drew, have found out when travelling around the world, is that we are all the same. If we could take what we think is good from other cultures into our own, without fear, this world would be better for it.

Thank you for this video. A wonderfull escape, from America's issues right now, who knew a hideaway in China would provide that. That city was so clean, no trash, no dogs :), which means no pee and dog poo everywhere spreading deases and parisites to humans. At least from what you showed in your video, a very clean place. Where does the trash and sewage go? All in all it appears to be a nice community Thank You Mr Drew!

In China when they eat together with their friend or family they used to share their meal unlike in the west. Anyways although the road to that hidden village looks difficult to pass, the scenery was pretty cool.
