Culture is has nothing to do with naming for international recognition. I believed those missiles has Chinese written name, but how the world pronounce it? Also would you keep the culture in a box or spending your culture worldwide with modern injection but maintaining the root as it goes so everyone knows about.

The bigger picture and deeper meaning of the answer to the question is that Chinese culture is inclusive and encompassing of all things that are augmentative. In the scenario of labeling weaponries, brevity is key. So the Chinese have used western alphabets to designate the models. The Chinese are sufficiently confident in their culture to incorporate foreign elements and this also allows the constant enrichment of their culture. This is why Chinese culture is the longest continuous civilization in the world.

Why not use Chinese characters? The pinyu system translates the Chinese into the western Latin. Why do you need to use the western translation version? Its not being confident or rocky. Its a legitimate question. Why ise anything western is China is so great? Why come study in western schools? Why not just stay in China and be great.

Why not use Chinese characters? Seriously are you trying to ask this dumb question? They were using the alphabets letters so illiterate people can read their cultures. If you don’t appreciate their efforts you can stop buy their stuffs and start go grab some grass and make your own clothing.

Same reason Americans writes 2025 instead of two thousand and twenty five.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0 are called Arabic numerals, by the way. They are from ancient India and then middle east.
And the reason is quite simple, it saves time and it is easier to write.
The Chinese language system has many advantages, such as high density of information, sophisticated tools for describing and preserving previously unknown information (instead of needing to invent new words), form preserving function, etc.
But ease of writing is not something typically associated with Chinese language system.
甲乙丙丁戊己庚辛壬癸子丑寅卯辰巳午未申酉戌亥 is simply much more effort to write comparing to A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z
As for “focused on their own culture”, most long living and dominant culture tend to absorb elements from a large number of smaller cultures as time passes. Xenophobia is a sign of culture weakness, not strength.
Oh and just to nip one thing in bud, confidence in one’s own culture doesn’t mean blind and dumb confidence. If your opponent is actually out to screw with you, then you respond accordingly.
