If the government shuts down it will be because Chuck and the Senate Democrats want to continue to debate about it instead of calling a vote. PERIOD. That is what is happening. In the Senate they have a cloture vote to end debate and move to a floor vote. You can't have a floor vote unless there are 60 or more Senators voting to end the debate. There is no spinning this. It's ALL on Democrats. And....let's be clear, they have enough votes to pass it, so Democrats won't end the debate. Simple as that. And....they certainly have EVERY right to do so.....but, it IS them doing it.

What's kind of sick is that Congress and presidential administration continue to be paid like normal through a government shutdown.
All government contractors during a furlough receive no pay, they can't use leave, and cannot get any backpay... so they are just out of potentially multiple paychecks.
