The USA is a "Third World" Country for Millions of Americans

Corruption & greed is a major component in America. Waste & more corruption. I truly believe the life we’ve all been struggling to live with is getting better. Very soon things will be changing for the better. I’m so glad your family is doing well. Nobody deserves to struggle. We’ve been struggling for a while now. We’re past raising our children and should be at a point in life where we’re comfortable. But, because of situations out of our control & the inflation over the past 4 years has been so bad. We own a home in Italy and have seen first hand the difference in lifestyles. The food, etc. Best of luck to your family.

At the end of 2024, me and my wife spent 3 weeks in Thailand. We got hungry one night and walked half a mile through a dark alley to a local restaurant. Never would I ever attempt that in America.

There are 195 countries in the world, 90 of which have a SURPLUS Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF). U.S. has a $37 trillion debt. So no we're NOT the world's richest country. Even in losing we remain arrogant.

Again, STOP taxing LABOR and START taxing WEALTH! This will even out the playing field in the US and close the tax loop holes for the obscenely wealthy.

We just came back from a 2 weeks trip that took us from San Francisco to San Diego. We have never seen so many homeless people anywhere else.

What people don't realize just because it's a rich country doesn't make it a good country to live in it's Rich for a reason

As I am days away from my 5-year anniversary of leaving the US, I want to acknowledge how well done this video is and how it clearly articulates and represents the struggle of countless millions of hard-working Americans who deserve better and who must choose it for themselves by rejecting the status quo in America.
@marino2009
Hats down for this video!!! I've never expected a "common" person (who is not lecturer, or scientist etc...), to break things down in such a perfect, and easy understanding way.
@TheMissus.P
You’re so right, on everything actually. Life is hard, and we’re told “work hard and you’ll do well!” And we have! My husband just lost his job of almost 25 yrs from a HUGE corporation, they don’t care, not one bit. Now we’re wondering where we go from here…

Living in NYC for two years was an experience, but it was traveling the country that showed us the real USA. As an Australian doctor, I was not prepared for what I saw.
In Australia, we have a public safety net. It's not perfect, but access to free healthcare, welfare, and education exists for those in poverty. The situation I witnessed in America was profoundly different.
I volunteered at the huge annual free clinic at the Wise County Fairgrounds in Virginia. For a week, we provided medical care from tents to thousands of people who had no other options. To see that level of desperation for basic care firsthand was one of the most shocking and life-changing experiences of my life.
I later heard that massive annual event was discontinued, and I learned the reason why. It wasn’t because the need vanished, but because local organisations like The Health Wagon had successfully built up permanent, year-round clinics. They transitioned from a once-a-year crisis event to providing consistent, sustainable care for the community.
That experience in Wise has stayed with me forever—a powerful reminder of the importance of accessible healthcare for all.

I am Vietnamese living in Texas when AmeriKKKa involved in my country’s war in 1968. The day they loss and ran away like cowards in 1975 (like they did in Afghanistan in 2021), my family became refugees and was placed in a hostile environment. The violence in Houston took my mother’s life in 1978 (she was only 33 years old). 50 years later….I am now 58 and plan to go back to Vietnam to retire. I see the decline OVER A DECADES AGO. No one believe me….this country is ruled by the oligarchs and politicians. They take our taxes and give us back NOTHING!! People are homeless, without health care, struggling to survive…the violence and shootings are beyond disgusting
upxe (19 July, 2025): INCREDIBLE!!! Over 1,600 LIKES! Thank You everyone FOR YOUR KIND WORDS AND SUPPORT!
@BolanKG
The number of homeless people is much higher in reality. Many live in their vehicles. I'd say that the total is somewhere close to 4 millions.

I am argentinian...we have problems here but I live in my own house with 4 bedrooms and a beautiful park. We have 2 cars. University is free..health care is free...if you study you can have a good job

For ten years in the 2000s, I traveled for business throughout the 3rd world countries of central and South America. I can attest that people living in these countries are much happier than the poor people, and now the decimated middle class living in America.

My family left the US in the 1970s, for Australia. Going back in 1980, everyone's standard of living was still pretty good. 1996, still fairly good, maybe declining a little. But returning & seeing the same relatives in 2012, things had obviously declined. Elders who once had houses were now living in trailer parks. Or in a family home that needed major repairs & a new septic system, and a couple in their late 70s market gardening & selling at farmers markets, selling off farm lots progressively, simply to pay property taxes & keep a roof over their heads. Cousins struggling as single parents & grandparents. Some of the difference seems to be education at my generation, but the following generations seem to have less ability to access quality education & get good jobs. Everyone works more than one job, or has a side gig or three.
Then I compare it with my lifestyle as a single mom in a major city, my siblings & their kids, my mother's ability to work & buy her own home post-divorce, improving standards of living over time, retirement savings & relative comfort, adequate (mostly) support for a disabled sibling. And possibly less fear of violence, especially gun violence. In a more social democratic country than the USA, with universal healthcare, yes, probably more government regulation, better rights for workers & worker power.
"No country is perfect" is true. But Americans in general need to take off blxers & maybe see how other countries do it.
@TheWabiSabiLifeYT
It's the richest country in the world for the richest people. not for everyone else
@jiehan28
In Malaysia, we call United State America as Amerika Syarikat (Corporate America) which is actually true. There's no government who govern for people. It's just bunch of corporate making everyone relies on their system for continuous benefit pocketed back to their investor.
@leg414
America is NOT a country...But a "Corptocracy" and owned by....And for the Billionaire class AND the Military Industrial Complex....Wished it were really for the people and BY the people...But we now know otherwise...Good video as a reminder....Thanks...Peace
@mikeautry2271
America is depressing to live in..our Government is making Americans suffer with depression...politicians, rich are the only ones that can afford America...property taxes, insurance and greed destroyed America
@ShoestringJane
This has become so obvious in recent times. It’s not just America. These companies are multinationals. And your healthcare system is just nuts! I was heartened to see stats showing boycotts of Amazon and Tesla really working. We need to become aware and vote with our wallets when we make purchases. Great video!
@CrazyLittleMama
They make fun and insult places like Africa and Asia call us 3rd world etc. But having lived in the West I realised everything she said and I moved back to Sou Africa because the quality of life is so much better.
@NewportRI65
Bless you dear you have hit the nail right on the head myself and my wife. I am 60 this year and she’s in her upper 50s and it took us all of this time in our life to come to this conclusion that you’re spelling out for us right now we just can’t do it anymore we are suffocating so we have our home for sale and we are headed in the same direction you guys are. they have all the same things that we have over there for a fraction of the price so they’re doing this to us on purpose. It has nothing to do with anything else other than that they can get away with it.
@lost-south-lake-crafters
Thanks for this video. I'm mid-50s, many times, I have wondered how we would be able to pay certain bills, especially if an emergency situation came up. Thankfully, we are in a better situation now, but I am completely burned out working at a company for decades, and every day is stressful. Society has conditioned everyone to believe that work stress is "just how work life is." I am sick of it. Humans should not have to be stressed all the time just working to live.
@MsZephyra
Yes, many things here in the U.S. are broken - intentionally by those who profit off of it. Yes, I have lived overseas and traveled a lot and learned a lot and often felt liberated from the U.S. racial and economic paradigms. BUT ALSO when I AM here - like now until the foreseeable future - I FIGHT TO MAKE THINGS BETTER HERE. I get involved locally, I volunteer for advocacy organizations with campaigns to hold state politicians accountable to US, their constituents - and not corporations. And I support political candidates whose platforms are focused on making life better for working people!!
