I am a Canadian and it will be a long time before I visit the USA. And I now look to see where a product is made. If made in the USA, then for me, no way will I buy unless I cannot get what I want/need from another country. And you know what? The tariffs do not bother me all that much. But calling Canada the 51st state and insulting our Prime Minister by calling him a US governor was/is too much. As for Musk - who gives a poo poo.

In my opinion, I believe he's just trying to get into the good graces of the Europeans. That's where he's lost the most money. Also Canada. Again, money means more to him than anything else. He didn't have a problem with the tariffs previously now that he's losing so much money a whole different story. He can't be trusted. I doubt the Europeans will be so easy to forgive him.

You can already tell from the formula Trump used to impose tariffs that it is not tariffs that he cares about, it's trade deficits. As long as US is buying more, it would be unfair according to Trump. This is why when EU or Vietnam proposes zero tariffs Trump would still say that's not enough.

What a dumb idea. Let him bring the factories from overseas. A single factory overseas will take ten years to bring just one factory. Americans already invested their capital outside America. China will defeat Trump because Chinese have kindness while Americans show cruelty under Trump.
