I don't think it makes that much of a difference if it's human controlled or not. Teaching the robot to follow the lines shouldn't be that complex, the movement works autonomous for both.

If robots are to replace humans in the workplace, bionic humanoid robots are essential. After all, the human workplace was designed for bipedal humans, right? We strive to make wheelchairs accessible, but the environment won't be completely transformed for robots. Therefore, wheeled robots aren't suitable for human work environments, or even for most animals. Multi-legged robots also have many limitations. In the future, robots will enter all human environments, but humans won't accept a complete transformation of their work and living facilities. The best solution is to use bionic bipedal robots, perhaps with "skates," just like adding wheels to robot dogs.
