I enjoyed this series. I have read a lot of theories of what’s going to happen and I hope that they don’t do the trope where this entire event was planned and everything was just an act just done to trick the eye to giving him the dna to enter the mana flow. I think it would be better for it to be done for selfish reasons. Like Mark wanting to revive Ran Bing. Boss Bai not revealing the truth and is actually planning for this to happen. Charles wanting to be the chosen one and being right.
Can’t wait for season 3.

and Charles didn't had that many insights on primal mana compared to boss Bai and Marc, he only leverages from the generic isekai protag perks over power, which is the abyss armor alongside their old-world tech and that astral entity. He didn't have much development nor knowledge to sufficiently tackle primal mana

If you announce you want to end the disaster, it could provoke Mana’s initial form and cause unpredictable results, so the two probably reached some understanding off-screen. That ambiguous smile and the post-credits scene at the end also suggest that things are proceeding as planned so far. Fourth, since Mark is the main character, if at the end of this episode he hadn’t come to an understanding with Bai, but instead, out of his own self-interest, hurt her and ignored the bigger picture—even if that was Bai’s plan and Mark later understood, this incident would still leave a serious moral flaw on Mark as the main lead. So, in conclusion, everything is still within the plan, and before entering the Mana ecosystem, it’s impossible for Mark to lose. If next season he faces off with Charles, Mark will still win.

应该是白月魁的计划，第一，马克没有三链dna无法进入马娜生态，所以需要从兽形态加其他条件帮助他转换，获得门票。第二，马娜初体可以监控马克所思所想，如果你大喊着我要去终结灾难，可能会刺激马娜初体，产生未知的变化，所以两人应该是在镜头之外达成了一些默契。第三，结合前面的线索，白月魁应该早就发现了目瘤，并且也是她给马克开门的，而且结尾处意味不明的微笑和彩蛋也能说明，目前为止是照计划来的。第四，马克始终是主角，如果这集结束时马克没有跟白达成默契。而是主观上不顾大局为了私欲把白老板伤成这样，即使这些是白老板的计划，后面能让马克醒悟，就这件事马克作为主角也留下了严重的道德瑕疵。综上所述，目前都是计划之内的，马克在进入马娜生态前，不可能战败，如果下一季是和查尔斯打，也只会是马克胜出。

Somehow I'm thinking the Boss Bai that fought Marc is actually a clone, much like Marc is a clone. Remember she said there others hiding the truth even from them.
