the issue with the US, is that people in the high ends are trying to steal as much money as possible and US workers tend to be not as disciplined in work as other countries are specially China.
@TwiceStruck
Exactly what I came to say...the US workers of the 1940s-1980s could pull this off, but this 2000 era, will never allow it to happen. Ever notice the budget to fix the highways raises every year, but the quality of the work itself has dropped when compared to a lower budget of 10-years ago...
@AlanHill-m6c7w
At least our buildings don't fall down.
@Superbuild24
When efficiency meets discipline, you get 43 hours. It’s not just about workers, it’s about a system designed to debate instead of build.

Amazing happenings only in China. Long live China and all the Chinese people in the world.

As we know, USA knows talk and talk so much and lazy, but nothing can be done.
But China is always hardworking and humble, they are done is more than said only.
@Lou8430
I wish more people could see this so that they know what America is up against.
@EnthusiasticChowChow-fm8ig
Yea it’s fast to built but it will not last just a big storm it will disappear fast too.
@honghong4382
America is falling apart old building.. decline of america.

I am sure that it is seen by you know who and he is saying WE HAVE TO STOP THEM.

@EnthusiasticChowChow-fm8ig: We will see, but we cann not ignore the ability of the Chinese culture.

Construction in America is very fragile. I know it because I lived there for 25 years.

@DivyaDarshanam02
@EnthusiasticChowChow-fm8ig many building in china are just designed to witstand for 30 years life time then they are replaced by new same models
most building u see on internet that house, bridge collapse in china they prop completed their 30 years time span.

Ya, there are plenty of YouTube influencer but I call them SOUR GRAPE who kept saying toufu construction. All I can say is Chinese civil engineering is at another level that others can only dreamt of. Must learn.
@Jeff-wt4ld
Speed simply does not implement safety so they can build them as fast as they want when they come crumbling down then we'll all sit back and laugh not to mention when you have an overabundance of people and it'd be easy to do s*** like that. People here actually have jobs and lives that we have to tend to unlike over there where a lot of people can come from villages way out in the countryside to do work and go back home people don't know the real.
@isaaclin1641
@Jeff-wt4ld It is a common sense logic. You build anything too fast, the risk is higher especially construction. Wont disagree. Imagine the Empire State building built in 30s took only a year from start to finish. Those folks at that must be worried. Almost a hundred years, it got faster as tech advances. I think it is just prefab as someone pointed out. Work begun way before the site.
@maxineadderley5378
@Jeff-wt4ld: how many buildings and bridges etc, are collapsing in China?
@kevin327-j6o
@Jeff-wt4ld May I ask, how many buildings have collapsed?

You gotta respect the work ethic of the Chinese. It's impressive, how much money is saved in labor hours.
@ralphferguson1
Yeah, you do know that their work ethic is forced upon them. I lived there for seven years. If you don’t work, you will wind up in a prison camp, or most likely dead. Don’t be naïve man.
@maxineadderley5378
@ralphferguson1: that may be true, but it is still admirable to see what they can accomplish. No workers' unx and the entire country benefits from the progress.

When President Trump told German Chancellor Merkel to move German factories to the US some 4 plus years ago. Merkel respond, "Quality of workers is very low in the US. Therefore, we won't move factories in the US."
@benjaminyaong
Absolutely true, let's bet if apple willing to move factorirs back to US? Absolutely 0 chances.
@ZhaogangMeng
Meanwhile is the quality of german workers not better.
@EnthusiasticChowChow-fm8ig
In the US is the quality not quantity. If there’s some doing things in the wrong way it’s not US standard it’s the people from other country who came then practice what they know until they will be caught but not true US standard.

Every developed country can do the same, even more quickly, if the worker's wage is $200-300/month and you have plenty of them.

#5 Beijing Daxing airport = Total investment for that specific China Airport was approx. $17 Billions. USA government (controlled by the riches) would rather split the money among the millionaires and billionaires under the Big Beautiful Bill.
#5 北京大兴机场 = 这个中国机场的总投资大约为170亿美元。美国政府(被富人控制)宁愿在“大美丽法案”下将这些钱分给百万富翁和亿万富翁。
@robertgoin7722
China has always been building crazy stuff and fast from whole citys to monumental projects i would love to visit there one day they make the us look like a 3rd world country how we still build things were to worried about having the biggest military would love to see America start using some of this technology.
@margaretmacharia7330
But they learnt from British who moved to their companies to china due to cheap labor then there was credit crunch.
@mybabylokey
When I went to Chengdu, I found out that they built one new subway line, tested and rolled out, on an average of one each year. I was very impressed. And they are in working condition 15-16 years forward. I took them myself.
@RobertWilliams-fk3fn
You're not talking about construction you're talking about assembling. The full construction took much longer. Just off sight.
@tianglade
AND YET, In Marin/Sonoma Counties California, have been trying to add a third lane for 17 years still under construction.
@freeqwerqwer
That structure isn't a 'luxury' looking building, but more like a storage facility. Regardless, it's impressive, while in the US, you can count on delays, delays, delays, and strikes.

There is a lack of skilled worker in US. One sector affected is ship building. Most are contracted in other countries which is faster and their are supporting industry.

They didn't construct anything in 43hrs, they made a precision swap. Everything was pretty constructed.
@isaaclin1641
43 hours what it takes others year to do, You know what we should learn from them is PROGRAM management. It is a lot of things squeezed into an A4 size timetable. Seriously.... just how do they do it

The problem with US major construction projects is companies know if the project runs late. They'll just make more money. Cost plus contracts are a joke. There's no accountability to the competitive process. You just make sure it is the lowest, even if your total cost gonna be the highest doesn't matter this in government are required to purchase the most cost effective bid based on a 50 page documents. This document generally under prices, labor, materials, land. And then workers work one shift. I think they've got a great idea three shifts running 24 hours a day. Prefab construction it's like the assembly line of major construction projects. The assembly line made automobiles affordable because all of a sudden they were built on parts that were made in bulk and then put together like a little puzzle that same person built day after day. Took long the first couple days, but by the time they hit, they had a pattern in the US every building must be architecturally custom by design every car Bill had to have a headlight custom-made on site, did you imagine the price of cars steering wheel wheels custom made on site each car ridiculous. The US needs to wake up. The world is evolving, the world is investing, they're making things faster and cheaper and better than we got. At some point, it will take us generations to catch up.
@chrispace9800

@3C-win
This hospital was rapidly built for emergency use and apparently did not design a long-term fixed building
@guardian860
@3C-win what's the point of building fast yet leaving so many flaws? Which one do you think is better, a structure that is completed in 1 month flawlessly or one that is completed in 10 days yet has major flaws?

You would have made far more sense with your Title if only both America and China started this same Construction Project the same day. Was the Technology 21 years ago the same as today...and where was China when America was trying to do it 21 years ago?

Chinese logic to housing shortage, build more build fast. US logic, raise rent so the rich get richer and the poor poorer and homeless
