How do you keep yourself motivated throughout the whole day?
I do an introspection every night and in that I also think about the important activities for the next day. I mentally carve out an action plan for the tasks.
When I get up the next morning I recall my previous night’s plan. Then I reiterate the actions once again and make a priority list out of them with possible timelines. This determines my important actions for the day.
I start to do some easy trivial tasks in the first hour of my work schedule and finish them. This gives me the satisfaction of completing something. This also gives me the motivation to take up the challenging or difficult tasks.
I go for breakfast after the initial completion of small tasks. This is a reward for my morning accomplishments.
I take up the tough or difficult tasks in the morning after breakfast. I break it down to its elements and set timelines for completion. After completing each element I take a break for five minutes or take a walk around the office/ pantry room for water/ juice/ aromatic drink/or a small refreshment.
This way I do not feel like involved in a big task and hence easy to get motivated to complete part by part.
The hour following the lunch I won’t involve in serious activity but some mechanical activity not involving the brain or going through some less important mails and replying them. Also I will give time for interaction with my team and some useful discussions on some tasks.
Subsequently I continue my important tasks and concentrate on them. Here I give myself a challenge to complete the task before the scheduled working hours - like if there is a task involving 2 hours work, I break it down to every 30 minutes and try to finish in 3 stints. So this way I can complete the task as well as get ready for calling off the day.
I also breakdown my salary on an hourly basis and convince myself that I have earned this money without idling. This gives me enormous satisfaction.

There must be something you want to change or add in your life, right? Everybody has goals like these. All you need to do is to start working upon them.
Now I know it ain’t that easy. Infact keeping ourselves motivated throughout, I guess is one of the toughest things. I know watching motivational videos, listening to speeches of great personalities, reading thousands of motivational quotes also don’t help. They do help but sadly for a short period of time. Once they are out of our sight we are back to our normal self.
As per my experience what I would suggest is just start. Just start from where ever you are. Take small steps but do take. Make an effort. Push yourself. Set a routine for yourself no matter what. Monotony in a routine dampens the will to keep going.
Start with small things like waking up early, going for a jog, brushing your teeth before sleeping, drinking milk everyday, practicing yoga and anything what you want to accomplish. Just do. Know one thing that nothing in life can be accomplished without hard - work and without leaving our comfort zone.
And see time will pass anyway. Its your choice to live a life being a mediocre or a person who lives on set of some defined principles for himself.
So start doing it from now. I’m sure once you will develop all these habits it would be hard to resist them. But it will happen only when you let its importance delve deep into you. Its only when things start coming from within ourselves only then we execute them effectively. But till then atleast make an effort. You will realize and then it will automatically happen.
You're a tiny speck in this mammoth universe. But being a human, we tend to harbor a misconception that we're the center of everything and whatever we do will be under microscopic scrutiny by the world.
However as soon as we begin to think of ourselves as a catalyst to fulfill something larger than us then there'll be absolutely no time or need to think about ways to motivate oneself.
When a doctor sets out to tirelessly stitch people injured in an accident, or a teacher helping out a kid after class, or a soldier patrolling the border to keep his/her country safe from infiltrators - it's not due to motivation. All of these activities are their contribution to towards purposes larger than their personal goals. Being limited by one's personal goals might cause a person to lose motivation if those goals change or become less relevant. Thus finding a cause and working to contribute to a purpose larger than self will keep you motivated.
I'm just going to get this out - Motivation is highly overrated. You don't need motivation to eat, sleep or drink. You do it even without iota of motivation. So how do you attain that level of motivation? Simple. Along the lines of all that I mentioned in the beginning, you sleep, eat and drink to live and survive and ultimately fulfill your dreams and wishes. Similarly, find a goal or purpose to contribute your life to and simply work towards it. Motivation is after all, just a state of mind.

I got into a college with a 1.47% acceptance rate. Here's how:
I gamified my preparation.
80% of things in our life can be treated as a game. Whether you're trying to climb the corporate ladder or lose weight, this frxwork can help you achieve it in lesser time.
This is the 5-step method I used to gamify my life:
1. Set Specific Goals - One good thing about games is that they tell you exactly what you need to do. By specifying your goals, you have clarity on what to work towards. You can also break them down into small, actionable steps.
2. Create a Scoreboard - Track your progress visually. Put up a calendar, sticky note or a whiteboard where you can physically see how far you've come. This gives you that sweet dopamine.
3. Reward Yourself - Every time you complete a level or some significant milestone in a game, you get rewarded. This is what keeps you hooked on to the game. You can do the same in real life.
4. Team Up - The most popular games in the world are the ones you play with your friends. Form a group of people who have similar values, and keep each other accountable.
5. Level Up Often - After every few levels, your character levels up. You can do the same in real life, by buying better equipment, or adopting a new mindset. Any upgrade towards your goal will only help you get there faster.
Using gamification, you can technically have infinite motivation. Now you know which levers to pull and buttons to press to stay motivated.
Writer's Dream
A few weeks back, I used to live 2/7th of my life. From Monday of every week, I used to wait for the weekend. As a result, I piled up all my favorite hobbies for the weekend.
In short, I lost interest from Monday-Friday. It made me feel lethargic, unmotivated, and lazy to do the work.
I did not feel good. There was a lack of spark in my life.
I resolved. I started to live every day of my life and not just the weekends.
I have brought a few lifestyle changes that have helped me to stay motivated throughout the workdays.
I partition the day into many segments. I do not work at a stretch for more than 1 hour. After every hour I take a short break. I try to incorporate some relaxing activities during the work hours like looking at the sky, filling up gratitude journals, quick painting, etc.
It keeps my mind rejuvenated.
I also try to actively converse with my teammates to feel more engaged in the work.
One more habit I have incorporated into my daily life is to write daily.
This has been a game changer in terms of focus, satisfaction, and creativity.
To conclude, if you want to stay motivated all day long try to do those activities in short intervals that are very dear to you. Take short breaks every hour. Hydrate yourself regularly and eat healthy foods. Finally, never forget to fulfill the quota of 7–8 hours of sleep.
Mindful activities and discipline are the prerequisites for motivation in life.

Prioritize physical health.
Physical health and safety is the foundation. Many people live in their minds and are disconnected from their bodies. We tend to overindulge ourselves with tasty foods and drinks as a way to fill emotional needs, which often deplete our energy levels and fail to address our feelings.
If you want to get serious about improving and sustaining motivation, then you need to start by improve your physical health.
Set a sleep and wake schedule. Go to bed and wake up around the same times each day to synchronize your circadian rhythms. Once your body gets used to this pattern, these biorhythms will naturally increase energy levels throughout the day. When you have high energy, you can direct it where you please.
Stay hydrated. Dehydration can create headaches and muscle cramping, and often leads to overeating. The more you can support your body with a steady stream of water, the better you'll feel, and the more productive you'll become.
Eat nutritious meals. Cut down on the number of meals you eat at restaurants and start taking the time to bring healthy, home cooked meals with you to work. When start eating more protein and vegetables and less sugar-filled carbohydrates, your body will feel lighter and healthier.
Exercise. This may sound counterintuitive, but even after a long day at work, exercising for as little as 30 minutes will actually increase your energy levels. Your body will adapt to higher energy output and then create a surplus of motivation for you to continue exploring your passions and enjoying life outside of the office.
2. Stimulate and expand your cognitive abilities.
The majority of people become lazy and complacent. It's much easier to get home from work and stare at your iPhone during TV commercials than it is to turn of the television, put your phone in your pocket, and read a challenging book.
However, if you want to make improvements in your life, exercising your mind is a necessity.
Read on a consistent basis. There's no shortcut--the most well-rounded and intelligent people read books. Pick a subject of interest and then take the literary plunge! Reading will improve your vocabulary and your ability to think--both of which will enhance all areas of your life, including your motivation and work performance.
Take advantage of the internet. I know cat videos are cute, but they're not doing anything for your cognitive stimulation. There's so much quality information online that you can teach yourself just about anything. Pick an interest, set a goal, then continue watching videos and reading articles on that subject. Engaging in critical thinking and expanding your knowledge base will give you an edge up on the competition and keep your mind sharp.
3. Schedule activities to support emotional regulation.
So often we ignore or minimize our emotional wellbeing. As a country, we work longer than many other developed nations, which diminishes the amount of time we spend taking care of ourselves.
Blurring the line between work and play has a negative impact on our mental and emotional health, leading to decreased productivity and motivation. Because you as an individual cannot change the socioeconomic setup, you need to schedule self-care activities.
Start a new hobby. Think about actives you enjoyed earlier in life that you had to relinquish due to the demands of being a responsible adult. Whether it's playing an instrument, painting, sports, hiking, writing, or playing board games, make time for yourself to do something for fun. Engaging in creative activities supports emotional wellbeing and can help re-energize your depleted levels of motivation.
Meditate on a consistent basis. If you want a hobby that costs nothing and will have an immediate positive impact, try meditation. Sitting in silence or using guided meditations each day will help you get in tune with your thoughts, feelings, and the present moment, leading to greater motivation, productivity, and performance.
Speak to a professional. Denying and suppressing feelings wastes valuable energy that could be allocated to motivation and performance. The most successful individuals, the ones who achieve both materialistic and intrinsic success, are the ones who are self-aware. If you want to increase emotional intelligence and authenticity, both of which will fuel your motivation and ability to succeed, then speak to a life coach or therapist.
Don't be complacent. You have what it takes to live a successful and fulfilling life.
Continue pushing yourself to create an environment that supports and enhances your intrinsic motivation so that you can achieve your dreams.
Recognize the importance of physical, mental, and emotional health so that you can live a holistic life full of gratitude, peak performance, and maximum productivity.

I think it depends on a whole set of factors, the very first one is how well rested we are. It is hard to be motivated when we are tired, fatigue, and this is completely opposite to being motivated. Then, It is so simple but so true - general interest in the topic we are dealing with, as it is not only the result, but also the process of work, the result will be much better only in case we enjoy the process. And the most important is the goal. I think it is not a secret, that we are very productive if we really want to achieve something.
But the general adviсe is following your own well being, and considering that habits and lifestyle are important.
