I honestly believe that being an ally of USA is essential for India the reasons are as follows:
1) RIC is problematic not because of India's hesitatation but also because of China's hypocritical attitude towards India
2) There today honestly exists no country in the world that openly supports India while countries like China, Turkiye and Azerbaijan support Pakistan with no doubt.
3) if we deal with USA tactfully we will not end up coming under American influence like Germany, Italy etc..
4) There are countries like Israel which the US openly supports and yet has not been able to influence Israel's decision making, France being a NATO member has its own independent foreign policy and there are no American Military basis on French soil.
So, what is important for India is to gain American support while be smart enough to evade American influence.

100 percent agree with our former NSA but after 20 years  because,we are in the developing range, we are not completely developed or we are not completely independent, Russia is our friend but USA is the biggest superpower and with that Russia also have many sanctions on them . At current situation we are on the right path to promote neutrality.
Israel is also our friend if we support them, But because of USA friendship Russia will be not happy with us if we make ally with them . We have friends from both sections. So we are on the right path.

Our indigenous car  brands depend on chip imports and still quality is very poor when compared to China. It is never a good idea to be visible as strong to US, at this point. History suggests, that being strong in US’s eyes puts any country in all sorts of espionage and regime change operations. US does not care if someone is strong, only their hegemony should not be challenged. Let China, Iran and Russia indulge US in their games. India would have space to grow while they fight, and when we have space to outmanoeuvre them at our own game.

I believe India doesn't need to be forced into choosing sides between QUAD or BRICS. With a population of over 1.4 billion and rapidly growing economy the world needs India more than ever. Rather than aligning strictly with one group our focus should be on building self reliance  especially by developing indigenous alternatives to petroleum and gas. A self-sustainable India driven by innovation & iinternal strength, can maintain strategic autonomy and continue to play a balancing role on the global stage. Multialignment, in my view, is definitely yielding results. For instance, we are able to maintain dialogue with Iran even during the ongoing Israel conflict. It shows our ability to navigate complex global situations. We can work together when there are mutual interests, and we can also disagree when needed. We should continue to maintain our position as a non-aligned nation for the time being. As a developing country, aligning too closely with any one side—whether Russia, the U.S., or others—carries significant risks. It is wiser to uphold an independent stance, especially in today’s complex geopolitical scenario. If we aim for sustained development, we cannot afford to ignore the influence of the United States. At the same time, history reminds us that the U.S. does not have a consistently positive record in its relations with India. Therefore, pursuing a balanced and self-reliant foreign policy is in our best interest.

Only India could help India. No other country, I repeat "No other country". Its time to invest more on higher education by mandating procurement of advanced technology in the universities. Not only in IITs. Democratize excellent higher education without tags, and then see the magic unfold in the next 10 years. There will be innovation, invention, research, patents, new native ideas which will take form of huge corporations that could rule the world thereby creating huge economy. And economy(money) is the universal truth, which will bound other countries consider "INDIA".
