I've been tourist in Iran with friends back in 2018. Met many very friendly ppl, some with big hopes and plans starting their businesses around first western tourism increase in probably decades. I still wish their leaders didn't ruined their shot for better life. Normal ppl with dreams of buying pick up truck or going to visit Italy.

What hurt Iran is not the storage facilities it's the refinery there's only two refineries in the entire country and they have been destroyed there is no gasoline being manufactured or brought into the country there's no diesel being brought into the country you can run your ships but you can't run your trucks you can't run your cars and you can't fly your airplanes without refinery

Maybe it is true, Muslim countries are suffering for basic needs. But at least one basic need they have plenty, as their populations are exploding. On average, each Muslim woman produces 4-6 children as compared to rest of the world stands below 2. Even if they find gold instead of Oil reserves in their land, still their fortune/misery is not going change a bit. Plenty of oil reserves are not their fortune but looks like a curse, only few clerics controls those reserves and enjoy all that wealth, rest producing children and suffering. Muslims do not have freedom in their country, and they do not enjoy even if they have in other countries. In spite of all this, majority appear to be happy with minimal basic needs. God bless them all.

That's crazy so one Khorramshahr ballistic missile is ~$8 million and it costs 11,667 workers entire yearly salary  except Iran taxes part of that salary. For a monthly income of up to 40,000,000 IRR they give you a tax exemptions. Iran launched 150 + 150 + over 400 missiles at Israel.  That's could be up to $8.16B USD, but I imagine some of the missiles they fired were cheaper than $8 million. It still should be enough for that $5B the government of Iran says it needs to fix irrigations and water systems.

The drought thing always gets me.  Why are these, and our, countries pushing for desalination?   Real question.  I think I’m not smart enough to understand why that isn’t priority one for countries like this.  You could gain complete food independence. You could sell clean water to the inland countries.  Africa could concentrate on other things beyond droughts and food shortages.  Shit, any country that becomes the pioneer can help their country and citizens and make the most valuable discovery in recent history.  Sorry, just vomiting out a long held idea to the people.  Tell me how I’m misguided
