Chinese navy is planning to build there presence in the indian Ocean. They are being challenged by US navy, Indian navy, Japan & few other countries naval forces. The modernization of their naval fleet was required to compete with USA. They made a huge investment in their destroyer, frigate and submarines arm to modernize them and to build in numbers to tackle any threat. They arey tackling the present scenario with their ships in numbers,but when it comes to development in technology,range of operations they are facing difficulty. US navy operates all over the world with the help of their carrier battle groups, aircraft carriers are their power projecters. India has also a strong presence over its region same followed by japan, both countries are there to give though problems for China's future naval aggression over the region. China is heavily investing on its carrier programme to counter all of the competition, which can alter their plans. Carriers are power projecters, a single carrier battle group can give nightmares to your enemy. China have already build one, now its building 2–3 no one has any idea what they are upto. They have an excellent reverse engineering skill that they apply, if they are going to be a global superpower they need to tackle USA carriers for thant they need more number Of carriers,but presently their main obxtive is to have a aggressive assertion over the south china sea. In the near future we may find many surprise from them.

And given that the US has been increasingly being hostile in words and deeds, then sending confusing diplomatic signals, advocating containment with its retainer states, like South Korea, Japan, Philippines, renegade Chinese province of Taiwan, as part air and naval encirclement , all within China's immediate waters.
The aggressive assertions of the claimant's to South China Sea is no surprise, given the constant goading by the US, instead of settling boundary issues through non confrontational bilateral diplomacy.
Bringing Indiia into the AUKUS, which threatens China's trade routes, with false claims of China threatening Australia ‘s security despite not having a military presence around Australia or it's trade routes.
Also, what does a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation have to do so far from it's area of security.
As China do not have multibases along it sea routes, unlike the United States, China tries to develop an alternative/additional land route to secure peaceful trade.
Given that it's most adversarial and confrontational stance, the US is both a formidable naval and air power, with long distance force projection, the Chinese also needs to develop it own force projection as a deterrence to any hostile intervention.
Given China benefits enormously from peace time trade, China does not import it's ideology, or interfere in other sovereign countries internal matters, China neither sanctions or engages in military actions or coups against other countries, like the US
Nor does China tries to foster hate and mistrust of other nations, or attempt subversive activities in other countries like the US.
As evidenced by historical events around the world, the threat of US and collective allies is very, very serious and real.

Aircraft Carrier has been the most efficient armed vessel to strike the enemy in a long distance, since World War II. Japanese destroyed the battleships in Pearl Harbor, but the carriers were not there so they were not sunk. 6 months later, the four carriers damaged the Japanese fleet hardly, in the Battle of Midway. CVs had longer fire range and better strike accuracy than BBs.
Americans recognized the importance of CVs before WWII. They have 11 nuclear powered carriers in service currently: 10 Nimitz-class, and one Ford-class. 2 CVNs are being building. You can see that building carriers for a navy is just as common as making money in a person’s life.
