First would be India, the most populous country, this saving the maximum amount of people from a single choice. It's also my own country, so that is an intended bias as well.
India has many benefits as well, it's a fairly open and democratic society, it won't try hard to make the best out of the given situation by claiming others lands as it's own, but at the same time is strong enough to keep itself floating.

Australia still recognizes Queen Elizabeth as its Monarch, could it be included in the collection of nations that are a part of the United Kingdom?

I'm not sure, it depend on my purpose. if I would preserve as many people as possible, so my choice is:
