I took a bus to Taklamak from Korla city in 2016, around 7 hour’s drive later, I got on the Benz truck that was released tyre pressure automatically as desert road condition, amazing night sky, all the stars can seen clearly, wild rabbits and foxes run off in scare. In daytime we found many kind of wild cistanche ,also sand skiing on the desert�� so impressive! Thx blogger for showing other perspectives

Ouaw, those landscapes are incredibly amazing. Golden trees are so beautiful in the sand. I would be curious to know more about fauna and flora in this desert. I follow your channel since a year now, I enjoy every episode and watched them all �� I like the great quality of videos, drone views, the way you talk to people and we can discover their different culture and traditions. My favourite episodes are about China especially those in Yunnan. Last year I read the book of Robert Fortune the road of tea and flowers, and since I want to know more about China : history, philosophy, arts, craftsmanships, landscapes, flora... Beautiful country, that many of us don't know. Thanks for your bright work ����

I studied the silk road and Jade road in college and have been so fascinated with this region ever since. imagining crossing the taklamakan desert without any modern technology, with the shifting routes, it must have been incredibly deadly. I'm sure plenty of people didn't even make it, I think most opted to go around it rather than through it, but I don't know that for sure
it's so special to be able to see this! thank you for capturing your journeys and sharing them with us, China is beautiful and its people are too

Wow! I really enjoyed this video. The drone shots were stunning. The Talamakan Desert is such a secret place as it is not covered well by Google maps. The villages reminded me of those I visited when | did an expedition across Mongolia, they were so remote. Your journey and the people you met on this trip will be a real eye opener for many of your fans. You are now almost back where you were a few months ago.

little Chinese really gets everywhere somehow: what a remote location (an adventure and a bit risky without phone?) and nevertheless many happy people, great to see how the government cares for good homes and infrastructure, even schools for goats (��), jumping gums for the kids (further down the road: 100km), the desert views and the sun set on the river were stunning - fantastic

People come from all over the world to buy, and sell their precious stones. Jade is a stone I cut for Jewelry, along with Rare Turquoise, Jades, Coral, and colored gems from all over the world. China's Jade is very famous and loved, due to many Chinese that have come here yrs. ago.

Nice video Yan. I spent a night in Hotan on my way to Kashgar October this year. It is surprising thereis a village deep in the vastness Taklamakan desert. I thought it was empty. It is almost impossible to survive in the dry and empty desert.

All the while watching the video, I was thinking I had never heard of this place. But I have heard of the Gobi desert. Is this the same place?

@kappy-nf6uh No it's not the same desert. Taklamakan desert is bigger than the Gobi desert (I think). The name Taklamakan means 'You go in and you don't come out' , which means in the old days you are not going to make it out alive and likely die in the desert.
不是同一个沙漠。塔克拉玛干沙漠比戈壁滩大（我认为），塔克拉玛干这个名字的意思是'你进去就出不来了'，这意味着在过去，你不可能活着出来，而很可能会死在沙漠里。
Thank you for the picturesque video! While watching this video, the cloud of dust by the moving vehicle, pumping tube well for water, electricity through sola power generator, all made me think of my work in post-war Northern Sri Lanka, especially Manik Farm region in 2009.

Another Great Video, young Lady. Eating Mutton fat would be necessary in winter for Calorie intake. Whenever i drove through soft sand i would let air out of the tyres/tires down to16 or 12 or 8 PSI, (depends how soft is the sand) but you can not drive too fast with those low pressures. Oh always carry Tire inflators.

The pomegranate and the melon... HMMm..... look sweet, juicy and refreshing ... and the diversity and ubiquity of hand made foods for sale outside the urban areas is astounding. I'm sure avoiding the preservatives found in so much Western packaged food is beneficial to the average Chinese citizen's health.

Living in Scotland my whole life, I have always wanted either the desert or the snow, I love snow, but rain and bogs and dampness becomes so exhausting on the mind, being aware of damp not good and mould and nature is difficult too enjoy when its always raining, rarely dry and rarely snow, always raining, I could go put my tap of clean drinking water on and leave it without a care, I would swap for a dry desert, just need some access too H2O I can distil well and then ionise the water and maybe add coral calcium because of its lack of taste, could add gold dilute, I am a biochemist so all I need is lab equipment and like some land and I would be happy ✌������♾
