Willing to bet WIFI hasnt magically replaced all the electronics inside. Plus, arieal communication isn't efficient. You can remove many or soms, but saying it has no wires wpuld be very inaccurate.

I'm guessing you've never seen the inside of a data center. LOL!
1)Hardlines are more reliable than wireless.
2) Some of those are power cables, not data cables.
3) There are hundreds of experiments being performed. All those wireless connections so close together will cause signal interference between the equipment.
4) Due to higher radiation levels, wireless transmitters and receivers are more vulnerable and need extra shielding.
