Due to such terrible infrastructure, educated and skilled workers go abroad and work for a better quality of life, leaving the unskilled behind, also accounting for the bad infrastructure.
Meanwhile Europe, China, and other highly developed countries spend a lot of money on infrastructure, cleanliness, and overall increase of Quality of Life. India will develop if they spend more on infrastructure, and prevent corruption and use some methods by the successful countries for a higher quality of life.

Yes ppl do! I have seen ppl literally coming from upper middle class having good education and jobs, but their houses are crap. Then there are haves and have nots to a level where people, once they get some power, try to abuse it and become corrupt. Our standards for society, standards of living and life in general are non existent. Almost everything is copied from the west. We don’t come up with original ideas to help our population.
Our definition of development is like just because the developed countries have bullet trains, we will build them without any proper infrastructure nor proper training nor proper standards. While the population is unable to get fresh water and goes to bed hungry. Because who wants to deal with that right?
Society is stuck in the 1800s where men and women are not treated equally and women don’t have dignity and don’t feel safe outside their homes.
We will have to re develop and re think everything. Starting from what we can do to make our society better and progress as a nation.
You can call me delusional but I am still optimistic. I still have hope and I want us to do much better in every aspect of life. The next 2 decades are crucial and it will decide if India will be a global player or a spectator
