1000 year old eggs are sooo delicious, especially with some fresh tofu. Never understand why some people are afraid to eat them, especially in my country where we have some food too that may be seem weird to others (like a famous blue cheese we have) but that is totally safe to eat.

As a Chinese, I don’t get the thousand egg and the Stinky tofu as well, Chinese people describe these as ‘either you love it, or you hate it’ type of food. You should try durian, a tropical fruit, super popular, not everyone love it as well, I love it myself. Thank you for sharing

I used to hate various food when I was a kid: celery, mutton, pork livery, and the egg you guys were referring to. but when I grow up, I gruadually fell in love with most of them. But there is on thing I may never get used to: cilantro, that thing is nightmare to me.
about the Pi Dan, I guess the extent how much you love or hate it, depends on how it is prepared, my favorite way to enjoy it is quite simple, a lot of green chili pepper with a lot of minced garlic and vineger.

it puts "balance" in the meal set

I love eating it with vinegar, like shanxi lao chen cu. I mix it up and the yolk mushes with the vinegar, etc.. I really like it, haha.

A place in Shenzhen, Shangmeilin serves the Wuhan dry noodles. I love them, so I guess they must be even better in Wuhan. Another enjoyable look around. I have not been able to leave Shenzhen. ( not technically true - the education bureau advised us to stay put).
