This should surprise noone. Trump started a war in Iran, one he can't possibly win. To make matters worse he's left the gulf states to fend for themselves and to absorb the costs of the war. You think Trump is going to rebuild all the damaged bases and the infrastructure all over the gulf region? Of, course not.. The longer this continues the more likely all of the middle east will turn on the USA and Isreal which is precisely what Iran would want. If the gulf States tank the petro dollar it's over for the USA. Decades of foreign interference coming home to roost.
