Is China really as powerful as we Indians think?

中国真的像我们印度人想象的那么强大吗?

Yi Li
No, China is much weaker than Indians imagine.
India's strength is the one that is truly far ahead.
India is the most populous country in the world (about 1.46 billion in 2025, while China has only 1.404 billion, 56 million fewer than India);
India has the largest number of English speakers in the world (about 260 million, more than eight times the number of fluent English speakers in China);
Indian Railways is the most cost-effective transportation system in the world, offering not only standing tickets but also hanging tickets (China's high-speed trains reach 350 km/h, and if someone were to hang on the outside, they might be thrown onto the track in 0.1 seconds);
India has the most “free outdoor toilets” in the world (about 110 million, 200 times the number of public toilets in China);
Indians generally have stronger digestive systems than Chinese people (the street food culture is richer than in China);
Police are rarely seen in India, yet the crime rate is very low;
Indians have richer “spiritual wealth” and focus more on happiness in the afterlife (Chinese people generally have little spiritual pursuit and mostly follow the naive idea of “you reap what you sow”).
……
Honestly, if you ask a Chinese person this question: 'Is India really as strong as Chinese people think?' a Chinese person would say: Who Cares You! we’ve never thought about this question!
China is busy developing, and Chinese people don’t consider India their enemy, nor do they see India as a competitor, and they have no intention of measuring themselves against India. Only countries that are insecure about their strength would compare themselves; true strong nations focus solely on their own affairs.

不,中国远比印度人想象的要弱。
印度的实力才是真正遥遥领先的。
印度是世界上人口最多的国家(2025年约为14.6亿,而中国只有14.04亿,比印度少5600万);
印度拥有世界上最多的英语使用者(约2.6亿,是中国流利英语人数的八倍多);

印度铁路是世界上性价比最高的交通系统,不仅提供站票,还提供“挂票”(中国的高铁时速达到350公里,如果有人挂在外面,可能在0.1秒内就会被甩到铁轨上);
印度拥有世界上最多的“免费室外厕所”(约1.1亿个,是中国公共厕所数量的200倍);
印度人的消化系统普遍比中国人强(其街头小吃文化比中国更丰富);
在印度很少能看到警察,但犯罪率却很低;
