As an American, I must say, I have heard and read for over twenty years, there are only two types of ships. Subs and carriers. Now with the drones and missles, another reason the age of Carriers has ended. I do NOT wanthem sunk, I wanthem home and safe, [if a carrier sinks the plutonium in the core could kill off everything in the ocean , not sure, BAD though]. It would be great if they had been hit and not sunk, since they can now come home and we can stop pretending the asymptomatic growth of tech has made carriers and a "blue water navy" obsolete.
