Japanese is relative easier to guess, Koreans are more difficult due to many North Eastern Chinese look like Koreans. My mother is from North East, my father is from Southern China. I was mistaken for a Korean for a long time in my U.S. school by other Chinese immigrants at the school. Or actually its more like Koreans look like North Eastern Chinese if you want to be historical accurate. Pretty sure majority of Koreans and North Eastern Chinese share common ancestry.
