Canada would get instant aid from the UK and the Commonwealth countries, and I imagine they’d invoke some NATO clause about protecting the sovereignty of member nations. Not only pariahs, but the USA would quickly find themselves facing 3 or more nuclear nations.

A better choice might be to go after the ‘hearts and minds’ of Canadian citizens. Again, not an easy task because they have proper schooling in Canada, and would be most unlikely to fall for the sort of lying shit that comes out of Fox News.

If he tries, not only can NATO finally stop listening to that rambling idiot, but immediately, not only will the US be without any allies, but all the former allies will line up with Canada.

Dumb shit. The word is not annex, the word is invade. And it would go something like this: United States sends massive military forces to occupy tiny portions of Canada including major cities. Canadians fight back with a massive high intensity insurgency. The rest of NATO joins in on Canada's side as does most of the rest of the world. Weapons and equipment flood into the 95% of Canada that the United States couldn't possibly occupy. Bombings and attacks and sabotage become rampant all across the United States especially areas close to the border. Eventually the United States has to withdraw and go back to their own borders and then make reparations possibly even surrendering territory.

Annexing Canada, or going to economic war, would be completely pointless, and politically disastrous for the Trump Party. It would be expensive, damaging, and would accomplish nothing.
