The US-led coalition operating in the Red Sea has launched a military operation against Yemen's Houthis, launching missile attacks on movement targets in the country they control. Arab media reported that the Pentagon said it would release the information later.

There has been a series of severe fires in areas hit by missiles in several regions of the country. The Houthis have their own air defense, supplied by Iran, but how it worked against missiles is unclear.

But the Houthis did not sit idly by, but responded to the aggression by firing several ballistic and cruise missiles at coalition ships located in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen. According to Al-Mayadeen, one of the American ships was hit. In addition, the Houthis claim that an American F-22 fighter was allegedly shot down while repelling the attack. The US Navy does not comment on this information in any way, so it is not yet possible to confirm or deny it, although this is unlikely.
