Just got my salary yesterday. Became really happy as it's my first salary.
Let me tell you what I do:
I am in my final year of graduation. A month ago, I went to hunt for job because my family situation is really critical. We are in huge debt, it all started 12years ago. I must say my family is in debt because of me, they always wanted to put me in English medium school. So they did it even they were poor. They put in one of the best school of your town. And after my high school was over, I really wanted to do a job but they didn't let me do it as they thought it might harm my studies. But now it has become too huge, my college is in city so the expense is really high. I was not able to pay the rent so I requested my friend to let me stay with him in his house, and he allowed that.
Send 1500rs to my friend from whom I have borrowed money to met city's expenses and also 500 to my roommate as borrowed money.
Have 500rs to local hotel owner for giving credit on food.
Send 2500rs to my family back in town. Through its very little but still.
Left with 2500, planning to buy college books second hand worth 1300rs(4books).
So 1200rs will be left to meet this month expenses.
I think I have learned so far that, stay happy whenever you are or in which situation you are. As someone like me might be dreaming to have a life like you. Period
I make 145000/- pm after tax
Married , 27 year old, with one daughter. Have ~6 years of experience as software engineer. working in a normal organisation ( not hyped ). I live in gurgaon . Changed 4 companies to reach this fiagure. I started 10,000 per month.
12500 goes as rent as i live outside of city.
6–7k to electric bills and maintenance.
2000 for maid.
I own car, but no loan. I use only when someine else from family with me. Fuel : 4–5k pm
I own activa which i use for daily commute.2k pm
15000 for roughly expense of month for groceries eating out etc.
1000 internet charges. 2500 for tv for six months
Save 80–100k per month in
PPF : 150000 per year 12,500 per month
LIC : 50000 per year 25000 half yearly
mutual funds 1k per month
Rest is locked in account, exploring others ways to save.
And I have an emergency funds of 12 months expenses, which i saved over 2 years.
Approx 45000 pm X 12 = 5,40,000
1,60,000 extra for extreme emergencies.
It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good, too, to check up once in a while and make sure that you haven't lost the things that money can't buy.
I urge ever person to create an emergency fund of atleast 3 months expense as it helps. I did it for 12 to reduce my stress.
邮局公积金 (PPF) 账户:每月 ，1.25万；每年15万。

I don't have any home loan, personal loan etc.
I have 7 credit cards which I settle in full every month.
I have house in my hometown in my 9 years in the industry I changed 6 companies to reach this figure.
I don't know about ppl who post that they earn huge but I can say I always get as per market standards.
Well considering education I am B.tech+ mba.
I really scare taking risk or home loan as I seen ppl paying it only throughout their life and in end it's only liability except from a bit of personal satisfaction.
Life in IT is waste only I am living 1500 KMS away from my parents, I was a scholar in school and college and the neighborhood guys who just didn't studied well are earning fairly well than me and bought their own property in my hometown.

Planning to come out of this trap in next 8 years plan.
I have my childhood friend earning more than 3l pm by only selling sarees, dress material, home furnishings on different online platforms in my hometown.
I seen people living in Germany, Sweden, Europe living with their family there for 5–6 years and doing everything by themselves still not even save anything and coming back to India still paying loan for entire life for home loan.
Income Tax in European countries are up to 50% and there is specific slab in which u will get paid if u not something outstanding well in.
And that outstanding is 2–3% only.
I seen people not traveling to their parents for 1–2years as it can cost their entire year savings living abroad.
So long story short if you are working in IT you are bound to waste money. And you are not alone so don't get frustrated.
我看到有人1 - 2年都不回父母家了，因为在国外生活可能会花掉他们全年的积蓄。
I live in Mumbai and my age is 38. I make exactly Rs.43,000/- every month.
I send Rs.5000/- every month to my younger brother for his expenses as he is studying. He is in the final year.
I have an EMI of Rs.6200/- for the loan I took to get my brother's admission in college. Still, 18 months remaining for the loan completion.
I save Rs.3500/- every month as I need to pay my brother's semester fees now which is subsidized and is less.
I stay as a paying guest where I pay rent of Rs.6000/- month. It includes food for two times and stays.
Rs.50/- every day for lunch during working days and Rs.110/- on non-working days which makes Rs.1690/-(Rs.50*25+Rs.110*5).
I have monthly expenses of Rs.2000/- on different aspects like tea, coffee or sometimes food sucks
I save Rs.12600/- every month and is spent on a cause that should not be disclosed here.
I know I make very little compared to my fellow mates in Mumbai. But my life had very dramatic changes and I am happy with this shift. However, looking for growing up as age is crossing and family is looking for me to take their responsibilities also.
I am 26 and a lecturer. My monthly salary is almost 25000 in my hand. And this is how I spend my salary every month …
I usually go to college by my scooty and the petrol cost per month is nearly Rs. 1500/—
I do not bring my lunch box to the college from my home. So everyday I have my lunch at the college so my lunch cost is around Rs.1200/—.
I stay at my parents home so I do not need to pay any rent charges.
But I stay at my parents home so because of that I usually buy some groceries and vegetables for them for an amount of Rs.5000/—.
There are some miscellaneous expenses include gifts/tours/some times I probably give some amount of money to my parents becoz they are sometimes financally dependent on me so amount of Rs.3000/-.
I bought my two wheeler on tvs bajaj finance so for that every month the EMI amount is nearly Rs.2900/—.
So In total my expenses do not exceed Rs.13000/— for every month.
Hence I get to save money more than Rs.10000/— per month
I am 26 and a banker. My monthly salary is almost Rs 44000 in hand. And this is how I spend my salary-
Credit card bill on the very first day of the month averages to Rs 2500 per month.
Transportation cost is around Rs 1600 per month.
Electricity bill averages to Rs 1000 per month, since I stay alone and most of the time I am out of my house.
Lunch at office costs Rs 1700 per month on average.
Since I stay alone, groceries and vegetables amount to Rs 2000 on average per month.
Miscellaneous expenses include Uber/ Outings/ Gifts which amount to Rs 2000 on average.
So, in total, my expenses do not exceed Rs 12000 per month. I stay at my father's flat, so I do not need to pay rent. Even if I did not, my office would have paid my rent expenses. Hence, I get to save more than Rs 30000 per month.
I do not have any liabilities as of now. My parents are financially independent. Thus, most of my savings goes into recurring deposit, fixed deposit and PPF. I am not much of a risk taker, so I do not invest in mutual funds and stocks. But, I love to travel, a lot. Hence once a while a bulk amount of my savings goes into travel expenses.

I am in 12 th standard. Board student…
I earn 2500 rs by giving home tution. ( i have to pay my school fee by my own, my father don't have enough money.)
In class 12 th people take tution for there boards, but i give??…
Once i heard by my uncle, i am burden on them. From that i decided to be self- dependent person.
I take this situation in positive way. I am happy and confident?? that i get the opportunity to become self-dependent. ( In india, there is a mentality parents pay every expenditure of their children untill they start doing jobs. so, they get habit of being dependent.)
I think “every cloud has its silver lining”.
I live in Bangalore, I am ~30 years old and I make around INR 6L per month (after tax). This is how I waste it:
I pay 60K as rent and live in a lavish house in a good part of the city
Netflix subscxtion which me and family use
I pay for dropbox annual subscxtion to keep my docs safe
I pay for bills (milk, internet, grocery, medicines, fuel etc) which amount to almost 40K as I buy all things top notch quality(claimed as organic)
I pay for help: 4 maids (2 for cleaning, 2 for cooking), 1 car cleaner, 1 laundry person, 1 gym trainer, 1 driver. This amounts to about 50K
Eating out: We eat out twice a month and we go to top restaurants like 5. About 10K
So I end up wasting about two lakh per month on these. Balance is 4L
Where I invest
Invest about 2L per month in PPF, FD, Bonds, Tax free FDs, Tax free bonds etc
Invest about 1L on SIPs in various MFs
Invest about 1L on Shares (direct investment in whatever I like), multiple term insurance, health insurance, LIC policies, and other such policies and schemes
I do not have any debt. No EMIs. Own the car outright. Do not have credit cards. Don’t have to travel to go to office as I live next door. Do not plan to buy a house till I have enough money to buy it outright.
I work as Director - finance in one of the top MNCs. I earn 60 LPA after tax. I’ve a twin girls and a boy aged 12 and 10 respectively. I’m a divorcee and kids are with their mother. Monthly I get somewhere between 5 and 5.2 lakhs as salary. Apart from that I have 3 houses in the city which gives me monthly 35k as rent. I give 4 lakhs as monthly alimony to my ex and childrens. I am considering it as wasting because had I been with family our monthly expenses never would have crossed 1 lakh. Now I can’t even ask what they are doing with that money every month. In a way I’m happy that I’m out of all the struggles I went through for the past 5 years.
For youngsters, I want to tell you one thing - don’t fell in the trap called marriage if you are not very comfortable adjusting for others. Don’t even think of having babies if you are not very sure about your compatibility with your spouse.
Finally, don’t initiate for divorce.
I am a 24 year old software engineer working in an MNC having an experience of 2 years now. My gross compensation is 7.5 lakh per annum and after deductions, I get around 47,000 rupees in hand monthly. Every three months I receive a performance bonus which is around 10,000 rupees more. In those months, I get Rs 57,000. So on an average, my monthly income stands at Rs 50,000. As of now I do not possess any other sources of income except the bank interest on my salary account.
I am lucky to be living with my parents. My father takes care of the necessary expenses of our family while I try to chip in where I can and mostly make the expenditures related to luxury items like going out to a restaurant, watching a movie, buying new clothes for the family when a festival, laptops comes etc.
Before the lockdown, I had some fixed set of expenses like daily commute, office lunch, snacks. A good chunk had to be contributed when there was a birthday party of any colleague. All these expenses have been cut off now. There are a few extra expenses now but they are not much.
I have also taken subscxtions of Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hostar. Per month it comes to around Rs 350 in total.
Occassionally I like to order food online, not much, maybe once a week. It comes about 1,000 rupees in a month.
There are some snack items that I buy every month since I need to constantly munch on something while working. This is an additional expense of about Rs 2,000.
I make some ocassional purchases for the house too like treadmill and its maintenance, a few essential grocery items, a couple of bills and a few stuffs here and there. On an average as of now during this lockdown, my monthly expenses come to Rs 5,000 - 6,000 roughly; not more than that. Hence I am able to save almost about 90% of my income which I believe is a good portion.
In a month I will be joining another organization located in Bangalore. I would be getting a 50% hike there so that's something great but my expenses will shoot up as well. Good thing is I am expected to work remotely for the time being so I can save up good money working from home before traveling to Bangalore.
Total amount which i get per month is around 15–20k varies every month.
1. i spend around 3–4k on daily needs i.e snacks etc.
2. I have sip of 2k in axix bluechip
3-I do aslo invest in stock market so i save remaining money and invest whenever i thing its right time to do. Till now i have portfolio of around 38k in mutual funds and 43k in stock market which have reliance. because i strongly believe that compunding is only way to creat strong wealth because compounding can make us billioner if done properly.
We just have to go for top 5 market leader of nifty 50 to avoid future loss in volatile market. We can also manage your portfolio by investing 70–75% of ur amount in market leader or stock which your getting at there 52 week low but remember they must have good fundamentals. And for creating welth you just have to invest 25k for next 20 yrs in stock which will give CAGR of minimum 35–38% to get expected return of 1.52 crore
