I am feeling happy in my tiny room
My room is tiny. Before going to bed, I sit by myself in my small room, and make time to meditate and pray. Since it's been hard to meet people due to COVID, I have been spending more time meditating by myself.
Korea has always put a lot of emphasis on Eumdeok, which means to do something good without others knowing about it. It shows that they put more emphasis on 'mind' that is the driving force of the action, rather than what appears on the outside. Another way to put it is that in our behaviors, there is a mind which causes one to act that way. That's the why it says that 'mind' is what makes everything exist and that mind is everything. Therefore, the most important thing would be what kind of minds we have as we live our daily lives.
What minds do we live with when no one watches us? When no one's watching us, we just do whatever we like. Most people in this modern society seek pleasure and happiness from the outside since they do not have true happiness within themselves. They have to meet with people, watch TV, go online, etc. Only when they do something stimulating their 5 senses, they feel some joy, and alive.

The Truth and the land of Truth are all within you. Mind is the essence, and the reality before our eyes are just a hallucination, a reflection of our minds. So, the key to living a good life is how to control and master our minds.
Then, how can the people in modern society who are living in the illusionary world of their five senses find their true selves? The answer is to do meditation to reflect on oneself. These days, because of COVID, many places are offering guided meditation online.

No one loves me in the world. Only Truth loves me truly, so I must rely on Truth and love Truth only. Then also, I can love everyone – because Truth is everything. It's such a simple Truth, but one can only come to realize it when his mind reaches that state. I hope people to be happy with the practice of meditation, instead of being frustrated in this era of COVID.

"I don't know why but why do I feel like everything is going to change in my life? Like my life is going to take a new turn, like I am going to miss the old me."
"And I started crying my heart out. I was feeling like the whole universe was giving me the strength to cry for all the reasons. I wanted to share my feelings and thoughts with someone but there was no one except myself."
And then and there, I accepted that there is no one who will listen to me without judging me, except myself.
I lost my happiness, my strength, my hope, my everything 4 years ago, in the middle of July 2019. The first time reality hit me.
They say the people whom you love are the ones who will always betray you and it hurts very badly because you never expected that from them. Yes, life is all about that. Life just flows and we human beings are just trying to live a basic goddamn life.

4 years ago, I was searching for that happiness, trying my best to do everything perfectly, but I was never enough for others.
Day by day, I started to change, things around me started to change, people whom I cared for changed, and every day was a new experience. It was amazing, I could enjoy it by myself, without any entertainment or anyone’s company. It felt amazing. The more time I was spending with myself, the more I got to know about my soul, life, and everything.
I wouldn’t call myself as one of the happiest people ever, but I am happy, better than before. Better than my old version. Today I am grateful for the things I have, the people near me, the achievements, and everything related to me.
Where can we find happiness?
Happiness is in our needs, desires, our soul, and inside us.

I am sitting cross-legged on a wooden floor trying to meditate.
I am feeling pretty uncomfortable. I think I would be able to do this better if I could switch the cross of my legs.
I switch the cross of my legs.
A corner of my eye itches. I will scratch it.
I scratch it, and as I do my head itches, and my nose. I twitch around.
My brain is just as unsettled. I begin to go over all the things I need to do right after my meditation.
Come back. Come back to your breath but I can’t yes you can come back.

This is how I learn that I have now. I need to meet it all as it is – my restlessness and itchiness and my fidgety, fidgety nature.
I need to sit in joy and pleasure and discomfort and pain and itchiness.
It will not be better later. I will never be perfectly comfortable and as such the time to be perfectly still is now.
Life is just like this. Things will be perfect just as soon as I figure out what I want. When I lose five pounds and let my hair grow long and find a boyfriend and learn to bake a perfect cake and get another job.
Life would be perfect if only I didn't feel so lost.
But the belief that happiness is somewhere else, after somewhere else, as soon as you do whatever, is a distraction - a decoy - from what you have to put in order within yourself.
Accept now. Find happiness now.

A farmer was digging well for the purpose of finding water. He dug a few feet and when he didn't find water, he would start digging another well.
This man was digging well like insane.
Jalaluddin Rumi was standing there with his disciples, he said, “You can see this farmer is digging a well, if this man had put his whole energy into just one well, he would have reached to the deepest source of water long ago but the way he is digging, he will surely destroy his whole field.”
Where can we find happiness - If we will put our whole energy at one place, doesn't matter what we are doing, we will get instant happiness, instant blissful moment, a moment of ecstasy, a moment of totality, you become divine as you have invested your whole energy to bloom in this moment.
一位农民正在打井寻找水源。他挖了几英尺，当他找不到水时，他会开始挖另一口井。

It's pouring down in the form of drops from the dark sky.
It's present in the first ray of sun everyday.
It's present in the food you eat after being hungry for hours.
It's in a jug of water on a hot summers day.
It's in the breath of your lover.

It’s in long chats with friends, family and neighbours.
It's in quilt on a cold winter's night.
It's in the toilet where you relieve one of the biggest pressures on your body. (Not a joke)
It's in every breath you take and fulfill the craving of your lungs.
It's in having a disease free healthy body.

It's in waking up early in morning on a holiday with nothing compulsary to do.

It's in the feeling of surviving the toughest days of your life.
It's hidden in almost every basic thing we see, feel, touch, do and consume everyday.
But we fail to notice it until we are deprived of these basic looking essential things.
Learn to observe, realise and smile at countless beautiful moments everyday.

Happiness is a state of being. You can't find happiness. You have to be happy. Unfortunately, we are searching for happiness. We think, ‘This product will make me happy. This person will make me happy. This place will make me happy.’ And so all the time, we are hoping that we will be happy tomorrow. But happiness is not in tomorrow. Happiness is in the now. If you are happy now, you can be happy forever. But if you are hoping to be happy tomorrow, you will never be happy. One who learns to be happy, is happy all the time. Because happiness is not in a past that is gone. Not in a future not yet born. We have to live in the moment with peace, the foundation of happiness; with love, the fountain of joy. This is the way to eternal happiness, being in the moment, in surrender, in acceptance.

Happiness comes and goes.
It’s just a fact about life, that if you base your happiness on the temporal than your happiness with be temporary as well. That’s why we are supposed to base our happiness on the eternal, which lasts forever and does not change. That’s why God designed our happiness to be based on His love for us, not on circumstance.
If you are unhappy, maybe consider teaching out to God for help. He can help you when no one else can.

I was alone for like 15 day's. With my grandmother.
No one called, my father used to call me once in a week because they all were busy in some real work.
It was cool and peaceful in the beginning but then thing's started to haunting me. Day's were obvious because I used to clean my paralyzed grandma and then do some household works, cleaning, washing, and all kept me busy. But nights were the hardest.
I'm still 19, not a women. I'm still a child. Sometimes I fade up doing things that I don't wanna do, sometimes it's hard to work like an adult but I can't help it because I'm the only grownup in my family and if I won't support my family in tough times then who will. Anyway with anxiety and overthinking, I used to cry a lot missing my mother.
After some days, everything started haunting me like hell. Overthinking brought me into the phase where I stopped sleeping. And to sleep, I wanted a distraction.
我和我奶奶在一起待大约15天。
没有人打电话给我，我父亲过去常常一个星期给我打一次电话，因为他们都在忙现实工作。

I felt guilty, really guilty.
I decided to call my mother and tell her everything but I'm not that courageous.
I was feeling low, but someone noticed without even me saying him.
He said if I'm feeling alone, he can come over and sleep with me if I want, and if the darkness is haunting me or I'm feeling afraid.
I was surprised, I asked :- You live 200 KM's away and how come you come overrrre?
He replied:- wait and see the magic.
I was afraid and kind of surprised because I didn't knew what he was talking about. So I cleaned my room and waited for the night.
At 11:00 pm.
He called.
We used to face time once in a week but this time it was different. He told me to sleep while he was watching if a demon is actually coming through my bed to get me or not.
我开始吸烟（我2020年的目标是戒烟，而且我不是一个老烟鬼，我过去一年抽两次），我一次抽了五支烟。
我感到内疚，真的内疚。
我决定给妈妈打电话，把一切都告诉她，但我没有那么勇敢。

It was just normal call but the little things and efforts made me bring me peace back.
We can find happiness anywhere, in little things, regular things. Just look with curious eyes!!!!

During my childhood, my parents went through a lot of financial crisis. It was one thing after another.
First, my grandfather fell sick. My father spent a lot of money on him, but we couldn’t save him. He passed away when I was in kindergarten.
Then, before my father could get out of the financial issues from his medical bills, his business partner cheated on him. So, he lost a lot of money.
Again, before we could get out of that, my grandmother fell sick and we spent a lot of money. But, unfortunately she passed away fighting cancer.
In spite of all this, my father always made every passing day better for us. I used to see all my school friends go on trips during summer holidays with their family. Few went on International trips as well. For us, even a trip to our hometown was a luxury. We were not able to afford such things in our life. An International trip was a dream!
在我的童年，我的父母经历了很多金融危机，事情一件接一件。
首先，我祖父生病了。我父亲在他身上花了很多钱，但我们救不了他。我在幼儿园时他去世了。
然后，在我父亲能够从他的医疗账单中摆脱财务问题之前，他的商业伙伴欺骗了他。所以，他损失了很多钱。
再一次，在我们摆脱危机之前，我祖母病了，我们花了很多钱。但不幸的是，她最终死于癌症。

I was so worried I overused the money. I told my mom that I will compensate it with buying stuff for 1 rupee lesser the next day. She hugged me and cried.
That day has distinctively stayed on my head.
Fast forward to few years later.
I scored good marks. I got into a good college. I got a good job. I moved to another company with a better salary. I bought them a house.
I took them on a domestic flight. Their very first flight journey. My mom was super happy.
Then, I moved to Paris and now I am bringing them here for few days. Yes, they got their visa approved yesterday and my dream is coming true! And, my mom is more happy.
我们每天晚上的零食配额是5印度卢比。我过去常常在晚上用那5卢比给我和姐姐买零食。我还记得，有一天，我买了一件6卢比的东西。这比我们应该用的多了1卢比。我把它和其他杂货一起买了回来。
