I am surprised to see so much backpedalling to rewrite history and try to discredit the US, so for those haters that just refuse to understand the truth, then realize that no one in Britain or the UK described anything like what we now know to be The Internet before 1941, in South America when Jorge Luis Borges published the Spanish poem “El jardín de senderos que se bifurcan” (“The Garden of Forking Paths”), a short story that first described hypertext, which is the earliest documented descxtion of what we would now call a GUI and a Web browser on the Internet, so even the entire concept was begat in The Americas.
