A good amount of the world actually favours Democrats over Republicans so I could expect most of Europe to actually support Democrats as it'd be in their best interests but with America in civil war and most of Europe's might coming from America I doubt Europe would be able to provide much.

The cities have huge populations whereas the rural counties while mostly Republican only have small populations.
They would hold control of that land but it's not to say they could necessarily hold said land.
The central USA would remain mostly in Republican control but the East and West coast would likely be consumed by Democrats.
These circumstances favour Republicans just due to the land they would control.
Again it's all purely hypothetical. I believe the West coast or California would form into a massive powerhouse. The East not so much.
