My 6 year old daughter was handed a gender form in class, forcing her to choose a gender, which was comprised of all sorts of interesting make believe terms aside from "Non Binary" . Naturally, she was incredibly confused, along with the other children, as the teacher made a compelling speech about gender fluidity. I told her she does not have to participate in gender politics, and should just focus on learning new things/ being a child.
There were multiple children in class that started playing with the idea of gender. But there was one girl in class who's parents encouraged this from a young age. She would switch genders like an outfit. One day a girl, the other day a boy, and sometimes non-binary.
When my daughter made a non-related comment to another classmate, the girl chimed in and argued that gender does not exist, so she's not allowed to make "boy-ish" comments. My daughter replied, that her parents told her, she does not have to involve herself with gender politics. The girl replied " Your parents should just die then". She also physically hit my child. Nothing was done to mitigate the situation by staff or school board. My daughter was forced to sit next to this child, as she continued to bully my child about my personal parenting choices.
So much for tolerance and equality. It's all positivity and unity, unless you ( respectfully) disagree with their political agenda. Then a 6 year old can threaten adults with death, and use physical force on my child to undermine my morals and values . Needles to say, We moved from Ontario to Alberta; She is being homeschooled , as none of the public schools in the area are any better. I will protect my child from toxic indoctrination at any cost.

OMG! I used to teach in bottom ranked inner city schools. Good teachers are too busy actually teaching their students proven things like reading, writing, manners, math, and basic facts of history and science to be able to teach anything else, let alone this contradictory gender stuff that wokists themselves can't even agree on!

That's nuts that no one in the school addressed the others girl's comment to your daughter. The things that girl is taught at home and must hear are clearly setting her down a demented path that she will suffer from before she is an adult.

@Proud Atheist Mind you, initially I omitted the fact that this child has also hit her physically. How can you teach a child emotional regulation, when you can't even be bothered to provide her a stable identity.

@Roger C Moved from Ontario Canada to Alberta, and got her into a private board that does not expose children with these kinds of extreme ideologies. That is the best I can do for her at this time. Unfortunately, other countries make it very hard for foreigners to integrate and settle. And I commend that. Look what happened to Europe. I'm from Northern Europe myself. My culture is destroyed. My village has changed into a ghetto within a span of 30 years. Heartbreaking.

I would call it that, if that was actually the case. A cult maybe, at best. True Religious creeds do not change like the wind, as the political left does. In a few decades from now, they will be spewing different extremes. And the emotionally/intellectually unstable will ride their wave, regardless of what they " preach".
Be careful to blatantly state that homeschooling is a mistake. It has done wonders for my daughter, and many other kids on an individual level. She is part of a co-op; shared responsibility program with 60 other children. They all meet 3 days a week from 8 to 4 pm in a private school building. The other two are optional. We as parents get to decide how to educate our children. And it is working.
The academic quality is top notch. Academically my grade 3 child is operating at grade 5/6 compared to the public system. They are classically educated on all facets of education, including Latin as a second language at the end of grade 10.
Socially it has been quite a breath of fresh air, to not see swear words written in blood and snot all over the bathrooms. And the bullying is practically non existent. I will not be fighting a system that has already made up its mind. It is not for me or in me to rage against the dying of the light. I will seek my alternate path instead.

My siblings and I are black. I'm the legal guardian since both our parents are out of the picture. My local school have been apologizing to them in history class as they learn about slavery and Reconstruction. To me, this is absurd. And actually, I'm kind of offended by it. We don't need apologized to because of what happened to other blacks in the past. My family and I were never oppressed. And to think that we are a certain way because we are black is actually racist.

It seems that western societies just can’t get out of their own way sometimes. We have so much opportunity and live so well about just a mere means of survival, that we start inventing problems for ourselves out of sheer boredom. It’s absolutely infuriating watching us undo any progress towards all forms of acceptance with this crap.

My nieces and nephews are taught wokeism in public school and they laugh about it, as do most of their friends. Sadly, however, they know they're getting a subpar education, but they're smart enough to look ahead. I guess that's more white privilege?

Seeing this kind of ridiculousness propagate and multiply in schools is actually unbelievable to me. The fact that so many people have accepted these "woke" ideas as truth, and that any negating viewpoints are perceived as immoral or unethical, is bewildering and mind-boggling. Logic has gone completely out the window.
