I recently started listening to the Story Corps podcast. “StoryCorps’ mission is to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world.”
They do this through conversations and stories between two people, by asking the questions that truly reveal a person’s soul.
Here are some of my favorite questions from the Story Corps app

You want to ask open-ended questions that leave a lot of room for them to answer. Don’t ask “yes or no” questions. And don’t just ask a question, and then, when they’ve answered, you move on to another question. Use their answer as a starting point. Ask another question based on what they told you. Or insert information about yourself based on what they told you. Asking “why?” is often a good follow-up question. Some examples of questions designed to get to know someone:
