Well, now I can't complain so much about the cold here in Northern Lower Michigan. We see 0 - 15 degrees F often and sometimes a bit below 0 at times.

Living in South Florida my entire life, I think I would immediately freeze solid no matter how many layers I had on.

I don't live in such extreme conditions but up here in northern Canada we do get -40C/F and well dressed it's no problem. I rather like the cold. For me, I can't imagine myself living down in Florida! I get irate when it's above even 60F, lol. That's what makes us humans so tough, though. We adapt and thrive!

Here in Bahrain we are used to the hot, humid weather most of the year, we had to buy a heater when the temperature dropped below 10° C in the winter a few years back because the cold was unbearable

I live in a country where it sometimes snows and the normal temperature in winter is between 0-10 degrees. When it freezes its like -1 I refuse to go outside because I think that’s cold. But damn, you have my respect I now realise that I’ve been over exaggerating I will never complain again! Thank you for showing us this :)

Thank you for the presentation. Even with added layers, going outdoors in -50C takes supreme resolve. In much of Europe and the U.S., furs are discouraged. But for brutally cold climates, I understand that they are not only the best, but pretty much a requisite.

I was born in Kazakhstan and when I was a little girl I was selling meat at an open air market just like this one, in the winter it was usually between -25 and -40 C. It was extremely cold, a calculator wouldn’t work if you leave it outside for longer than 30 seconds, we had to keep it close to the body. I cannot imagine working in -50 or lower, but I guess past -30 it all feels the same. We used to drink a lot of hot tea! Thank you for the video!

I heard about that city from a french documentary a few years ago.They showed how people live during winter and a french guy who went to live there. They even talked about people who had to undergo amputations.It's in some ways fascinating but I'm not sure I really wanna experience that kind of extreme cold.

Omg! As someone who comes from the equatorial region imagining temps of - 50C is crazy. The coldest I've been exposed to is about 10C in Japan and had to bundle up just to step out. I think these people from Yakutia are fantastic. Good Video

I went to Israel once and they told me they were freezing, because it had 12*C. I am from Germany, where it is below that temperature for at least half a year each year. It took me a while to understand that they don’t have heatings in most houses, so they have 12*C on the inside!

Of course we do look alike��� We even share some words, like around 30% of words in yakutian language have mongolic roots, so i believe we used to talk a lot with each other back in those days

I've always wanted to live in a cold place. Then,one of my students who live in Japan said that they don't like winter because they have to wear so much clothes to be warm. So it gets heavy. So,I kind of understand the frustration of living in a cold country
