Survival of a species is hard coded in to our actions (somewhere else?). Not sure where but it is there. However the conscious mind can abandon that request of the intuitive mind. Its a slightly complex subject outside your question. See other posts to get just an idea.Proof our brain requires it but we may fight against it? Here is a real world story.We have to use non humans because they are not able to break their nature like us.Recently, probably 2014, there were three lions. Lost the lix but trust me or do the work researching this event. Its important.A mother lion.Father lion.Baby cub lion.The father lion rips apart the baby cub. He eats a bunch of his own cub. The mother sits and watches.The father stops and walks away.The mother now go to the cub. What do you think she did? She ate the other half while the male did nothing.That goes against the mothers nature of course right? So what caused it?Survival hard wired. Zookeepers assume they went mad. They did not. Man caused it.We blocked off the physical world to them. They needed an unknown substance that man was ignorant of. Feed it meat and we think all good with maybe something else.Do you really claim to fully understand a lions need? Did you study beyond protein carbs etc?A herb or essential animo acid etc. The lions were hard coded to know they were missing something essential to their long term survival through diet.So why the cub?Because the male or female doesn't want to reproduce with their offspring. Kill the cub. It has the required nutrients in its body. Eat it. No food available that has the requirement.Now they can survive and have another cub. The only solution. But what is missing? I have no idea. They have total ignorance in cage prison keeping. We need experts to uate. I bet they split them up. “lion gone mad. Put them down”.BUNCH OF IDIOTS. YOU MADE THE LIONS DO IT.Stop imprisoning them if you wont research what the hell you did to them.So in short I would say man is stupid and would die using their conscious mind. Lion has access to the intuitive mind and is forced to survive. The Physical world hasnt messed them up so much due to less brain. Funny huh? Less brain gives more brain. Man is not intelligent. He is stupid and will say im crazy. Many have for throwing out valuable theories and research.More proof? Explain to me how ants do all the incredible things they do? Access to the intuitive mind and the subconscious collective. But people will say it doesnt exist. Idiots.Find access to the conscious collective and the inituitive mind or your world is doomed.

人类并不聪明，反而很蠢，说狮子发疯了，不在去研究狮子吃幼崽背后的理论.

Why did "Incest" came into being? Is that because sex is bad and you shouldn't do bad things to your siblings and cousins? Sex is not bad. Sex is creation. Incest came in to being in-order to protect humanity as marriage with close relative tend to produce off-springs which are weak. In ancient India Men are suggested to get brides from far as possible. All the kings married as such. My country is Srilanka. Our kings brought brides from India. Indians have history bringing down women from Afghan, Russia and even South america. The purpose of incest is in-order to reduce human defects. Ancient people also believed that mixed race can bring most intelligent beautiful off springs which is really a true. In ancient India people also believed love will last longer when you are married to some one whom you never known in your young age.Having all that being said. The incest came in to being in-order to keep human generation in good health. But If there are only two of them left. I don't think that is wrong to create an offspring via sexual interaction. But that doesn't mean the human generation will survive specially the modern human race just from last two siblings of opposite gender. According to Religions. If you can go through the history from Bible or Greek pantheon you have great evident of sibling marriages which has happend at the beginning. But according to vedic theory humans didn't come here as couples but as a group.

Let's assume they start from scratch. Human civilisation is no more and hence none of its achievements. No electricity, no agriculture, no clothing industry, no architects, no engineers etc...There are many practical reasons why this scenario cannot work. The "moral" considerations are actually negligible.First of all as mentioned, there are the long term adverse genetic effects of incest but also the fact that a handful of people wouldn't have a long life expectancy without things we take for granted like medical care.Last but not least, two people on their own would most likely have to live a hunter and gatherer life unless they are familiar with self sustaining agriculture. Not to forget the climate they would want to start a new civilisation from.There are so many unpredictable factors that can throw a spanner in the works. Nobody can be an expert in everything and nature is absolutely relentless, especially when you don't understand it well enough.As Matt Damon said in the Martian "Let's science the sh*t out of it..." ;)

There are 2 questions here:Would you reproduce to save humanity?Would this be morally wrong?
Question 1: Given that I have an education in the biological sciences, I’d say that I may reproduce, but certainly not for the goal of saving humanity.Why?Because I can’t possibly save humanity. 2 people is far below the minimum viable population for us humans and given that the progeny would be born would be highly inbred, they’d consequently be less fit to survive.Question 2: Morality, to me, is a social construct….Biology in its wild self, knows no morality. It only speaks the language of survival.With the collapse of society and the “social order”, civilization as we know it would be a quick casualty and will take morality with it.Primal instincts know no morality. We already know this. People who have been stranded in unparalleled situations have invariably known to resort to primal instincts for survival.So, no…it would not be morally incorrect, because there will be neither the ability, the necessity, nor inclination towards morality.

A single surviving couple can't introduce the sort of generic diversity needed to repopulate the human race anyway.The royal family achieves that margin of separation precisely because there was a wider availability of mates available, most likely. Which won't be the case in this hypothetic.

Aside from most morality resulting from either religion or a biological imperative (hence, punishments exist, but only insofar that they "fit a crime"), I think morality would be a moot point if there was NO ONE ELSE LEFT ON EARTH. Honestly, none of us here should be surprised at what people do when no one is watching. Scathing invective be damned, I would probably talk this over with my sister. The only morality which would exist in my mind at that point is not the "imperative" to repopulate the human race, but whether I am seizing my happiness at the cost of an other or not...and in this case, the "other" would be my sister, the only one left on Earth...The moral imperatives which come from built up empathy In short, would it be mutual? Man-made morals are as relevant as you want to be, no matter who is still left on Earth. Everyone creates their own personal symbolic meaning behind experiences. As for whether "one should try or not," It is a simple calculation. If you do not try, there is 0% chance of survival (barring discovery of a sperm bank, or being good enough with genetic engineering to do real-time gene splicing). Even with defects, you have more than 0% chance of survival.
