A passenger was taped to his seat after an altercation with cabin crew on a Frontier Airlines flight from the US city of Philadelphia to Miami. A police report said the suspect, Maxwell Berry, had consumed two alcoholic drinks before brushing his empty cup against a female attendant’s backside. He also allegedly removed his shirt and wandered around the cabin before groping two female crew members and punching a male flight attendant. Cabin crew and other passengers used duct tape and a seat belt extender to restrain Berry in a seat for the rest of the flight to the state of Florida, where he was arrested on battery charges.

i think if not mistaken, in astronaut policies is to exactly tape down violent ppl on the seat to prevent any harm or sabotage. I mean, the dude actually throwing punches, so we can conclude that physical harm did happen. .. made me wonder what "is" the company's proper policy toward physical violence passenger (and potentially that does not harm the crew n other passenger)? mayb taser the dude?

it may seem inhumane but, hey the incident could have gotten worse. As long as the obxtive was merely to restrain without inflicting injury and as long as he can breathe easy, that would be justifiable

None of that is justifiable. Those flight attendants had no right to duct tape him to his seat, having people laugh, record and post it on social media. If this happened in a school to a student things would be completely different comments being made. The school and the board would be a target.

Duct tape can seriously hurt you when it's ripped off, the chemicals in the adhesive that he is breathing in, covering his mouth where he is not getting sufficient air. The airline suspended the crew involved. That's the type of employer you don't want to work for. Doesn't matter if your female employees got sexually assaulted or your male employee got punched in the face. They were only allowed back because of the outrage.

I often take Frontier Airlines in the US. It's a cheap airline that attracts all kind of passengers, including some poor, unruly, and uncivilized people. The flights are always packed, even during the pandemic.
