The American Grudge is a special effect version, the japanese grudge is psychologically more scary.

But still scary in a way. Especially if u were watching this when it first came out. And u never had a horror movie such as this

Actually, Americans aren''t talented to make a ghost film even they''ve technologies better than us, most of them learn it from Asians ghost film especially Japanese.

Man, I saw this film when I was 6. Most kids would hide under their blanket if they were scared. I went through MICHIGAN winters without sleeping under my blankets because of this film...course then I wised up and realized if Kayato was going to kill me it didn''t matter if I was under or above those blankets. God I love this film.

Hollywood remake is bullshit

You know the scene right at the tail end of this movie, when the woman is facing the mirror and looks through her hands? And then she sees Kayako crawling up to her and actually looks through her fingers like that and sees how she really was? It always breaks my heart seeing Kayako like that, I just wanted to hug her
你们都知道在电影结尾部分的镜头中那个女人面对着镜子，然后把手放到脸上，透过指缝来看镜中的自己吗？接着她看到了伽椰子朝她爬过来，她在透过指缝看镜子的时候也看到了伽椰子，她看到的是真实的东西吗？每次看到伽椰子爬出来的样子，我很痛心。我只是想要拥抱她（伽椰子）。
The ending scene with empty streets and all of those missing persons posters.....creepy
结尾的镜头中可以看到空荡荡的街道，还有墙上贴着的失踪的人们的寻人启事。。。真是令人不寒而栗。

It just frustrates me that every character that died in this movie just straight up died without a single struggle,in some scenes they can easily just escape. Dammit just fight for once! At least you can postpone your death. By the way,that ending was just scary...The curse spreads all over Tokyo (Or wherever this is...). In a matter of time,the curse will spread across Japan,and eventually the whole world...

Toshio was never murdered by his father , he was spared ( unlike the American remake which showed him dying ), but his mom refused to let him be raised heartbroken without her so she took her son with her into death , kind of like how God took Elijah too heaven on a Chariot of Fire .
